Once it is complete, would you want want me to install the store mod so that you can buy things with your tokens? If so, what type of stuff would you like to see in the store? (Be reminded that everything is virtual, so you won't be getting anything real.

Post #1The Store Mod author says the mod is 95% complete.

Re: Would you like to buy things with your tokens?
Post #13Sorry, I'm new here, so I'm not yet up to speed.
What are tokens ? I've recently come into possession of a solid quantity of them (thanks ! you know who you are... too bad I can't send PMs yet), but I'm not sure how they work.
I've noticed that I receive a certain amount of tokens whenever I post anything. How does the system determine how many tokens to award me ?
Anyway, I think that buying things for tokens is a great idea -- it's sort of like Whuffie, but on a smaller scale.
Here are some of my suggestions:
* Titles. I'm not just "Bugmaster", I am "The Great and Powerful Bugmaster".
* Extra avatar sizes/formats
* Limited hosting space, so that I can host videos and diagrams on the site (that should be quite expensive, obviously)
* Color coding. All my posts now appear in blue !
* Radical idea: moderation powers. For about 1.5 gadzillion tokens, I should be able to delete a post, lock a thread, etc.
Another interesting idea would be to allow each forum user to create an avatar out of custom parts, bought with tokens. The default avatar would look like some sort of a stick figure; the user would then be able to by faces, clothes, arms, legs, hats, etc., to customize their avatar -- sort of like the City of Heroes character creator, lite. That might take a lot of work, though.

Token Response
Post #15Have you ever been to a Jewish Synagogue where they sell the good seats in the audience?
Why not sell space on the banner with a button..(*) read all the posts of Nick Hallandale .[for example]
We could buy the button which leads to our posts with our tokens for a certain number of days.

If GOD gave us a conscience, doesn''t he expect us to obey?
If GOD expects us to obey, can we expect judgement and reward or punishment?

But the idea of selling ad space based on tokens is intriguing. There might be some potential there.
