Theology Debates

I was thinking it might be good to add a specific forum for debating Christian theology. It would be an open forum for all, but focused on theology rather than arguments for/against the Christian faith. Just a thought.

And here I was thinking you were the fun one. ;)

I had thought of that one. I also thought of Christianity - Pro/Con. How about "Challenge Christianity" or "Challenging Christianity"?

Another disillusion.

I like "Challenging Christianity".

I think "Challenging Christianity" can be misconstrued with "challenging" being an adjective rather than a verb.

How about something along the lines of:

Christianity and Apologetics - Argue for and against Christianity
and
Theology, Doctrine, and Dogma - Exploring the details of Christianity

I thought that was funny.

It is looking good.

I like this idea, because it will allow me to really cut loose with the Biblical quote-o-rama :-)

I do too, but... don't we already have a "Christianity" subforum ("Argue for or against Christianity") ? How would the new subforum differ ?

I think that the suggestion is to have a new forum for Christian Theology - debating what is authentic Christianity and rename the existing Christianity forum to something else.

I like otseng's suggestion:
  • rename "Christianity" to "Christianity and Apologetics" - Argue for and against Christianity
  • new forum "Theology, Doctrine, and Dogma" - Exploring the details of Christianity
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Before we make the change, I've created a poll to run the idea by everyone to see what people think. If there is sufficient agreement with the proposal, I'll then make the change.
