*The four “angels” which are “bound” in the great River Euphrates are the four countries through which the Euphrates runs. The Euphrates begins in southeast Turkey, and continues through Syria and Iraq on its way to the Shatt al-Arab waterway, which the Iranians refer to as Arvand Rud, forming the BOUNDARY between Iraq and Iran, over which they regularly dispute.

Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great River Euphrates; and the “water” thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the East (eastern bloc – led by Russia and China) might be prepared.

It should be enlightening to compare Revelation 9:12-16 and 16:12 cited above, along with the companion prophecies about the true people Israel (e.g. Daniel 12) during this final period right before Judgement Day, with current-day events. Please consider the following:

1) the 4 angels/messengers, i.e. Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran, are predominantly Muslim.

Turkey – population: ~85 million. Over 99.8% are Muslim, 90% of which are Sunni.
Syria – population: ~23 million, including close to 1 million Palestinian refugees. Over 97% are Muslim, most of which are Sunnis.
Iraq – population: ~46 million. 95-99% are Muslim, over 60% of which are Shia.
Iran – population: ~89 million. Over 99% are Muslim, 88% of which are Shia.

2) China is the only country on Earth that can realistically put 200,000,000 men into battle.

3) A third of mankind is reportedly over 2 billion people, which corresponds to the sum of the global population of “Jews”, “Muslims” and “Christian Zionists”, bearing in mind the hundreds of millions already dead from the lethal injection program, aka the CovID-19 jab.

Fifty-seven Arab and Muslim majority countries have already held a joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh, on the 105th anniversary of Armistice/Remembrance Day, to condemn Israeli actions in Gaza.

The four "angels" that are "bound by the Great River Euphrates" are the four COUNTRIES that are bound by that River.

The Euphrates begins in SE Turkey, runs through Syria and Iraq, and becomes the Shatt al-Arab waterway that forms the boundary between Iraq and Iran, before emptying into the Persian Gulf.

It's not rocket science.

The Greek word ἀγγέλῳ (angelō), translated in Revelation 9:14 as "angel" also means "messenger". So when the world sees the above nations engulfed in a broader, regional war in the Middle East, it should send the message that yet another prophecy is being fulfilled, and that the Two Witnesses (the U.S. and U.K.) will be further weakened, enroute to losing WW3 to "the kings of the East" (led by Russia and China - Rev. 16:12).

If you take a much broader view and put the entire book of Revelation into context, it makes more sense.

Apocalyptic literature was a fairly common genre at the time, and would make more sense to its original audience. We certainly don’t need to worry that it has any relevance to our present-day geopolitical situation, as the Roman Empire fell some time ago.

Over two-thirds of the Bible is prophecy*, including the Book of Revelation (Christ's Revelation to John), over 99% of which has already been fulfilled in exact and minute detail. Only a complete fool would look at that track record, and erroneously conclude that prophetic warnings of apocalyptic events that are leading up to an extinction level event are nothing more than a "genre", or that the remaining <1% of the prophecies that remain won't likewise be fulfilled in exact and minute detail.

*ALL of the prophecies are written with at least two possible paths, to take into account our FREE-WILL to choose between good and evil.
