Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Post #14Dont all religions contain truths? Also, if christianity was true, wouldnt the religion that suits all be Christianity? Wouldnt the spirit of god burn within them, wouldnt it convert them to christianity?fewwillfindit wrote:If it is valid for someone to find any religion that suits them, then Christianity is not a valid religion, because this philosophy forces the Bible to be full of lies.mormon boy51 wrote:Im not pushing my beliefs, in fact the opposite. Post #15This does not answer my point, which is that the Bible very clearly claims that Christianity offers the only valid path to salvation. If other religions are valid, then the Bible is full of lies, effectively rendering Christianity worthless.mormon boy51 wrote:Dont all religions contain truths? I can't speak for you, but I will not devote my life to a religion that is built upon lies.

Re: why did god create man according to genesis
Post #16I believe that christianity is the only path to salvation, yes. Yet, who am I to make this personal choice for another? How can they believe in something that doesnt fill them with the comfort that I find in my own religion? Christianity talks a lot about the spirit of god. If someone is seeking the truth with honest intent, the spirit of god will lead them.fewwillfindit wrote:This does not answer my point, which is that the Bible very clearly claims that Christianity is the only valid path to salvation. If you look to the bible you will need to look outside of the small passage in Genesis 2:5 to other passages.
where should i look then?
Since God is omnipotent and only does what He wants to do, the answer must logically be "God created man because he wanted to create man".
What is OUR purpose? What did he want us to do?
From the Genesis account it seems clear he wanted us to live. He warned Adam and Eve what would endager their continued life and indicated that indicated if they obeyed him, they could live forever. (see Genesis 3:3). Further God seemed to want humans to be happy. He gave them all they would need to be happy, with companionship, perfect health, plenty of food, interesting work and a perfect home - Genesis 2:9, 19-23).
So, taking the account as a whole God created man to be happy and live forever (see Math 5: 3, 5)

Why are we here?
i could not access the youtube video but after investigating the topic of why god created man i've come up with the following understanding:
god created man to be part of the kingdom of god. God wanted a relationship with man. lets imagine for one second what the world would have been without man(before the fall of adam). the world would have been perfect with man. after the fall of adam man has become a liability to the world. god created man, in his likeliness to rule over the world by giving adam dominion over everything, to multiply and become children of god through passing from human form which is matter and mortal to spirit which is immortal to share in gods kingdom by living according to gods laws. But adam messed up when he ate of the tree of knowledge, he rejected god and his laws, gods way. God then banned him from the garden, from access to the tree of life from god. Adam could thus not enter the kingdom of god anymore cause there was no way for him to access the tree of life , to access god. Adams destiny now was therefore to die just like god warned him. Adam did not eat of the tree of life and would therefore not reach the kingdom of god. Man as a consequence of adams actions would therefore not have access to god anymore but god did not leave man out in the cold he sent jesus to bring us his word, his way of life for us to choose. Should we repent and accept gods way, we would once we die be born again into new spiritual beings pass into the spirit world into the kindom of god depending on the result of our judgment on judgment day when all shall be judged, the living and the dead(who will be resurrected). Does this perhaps explain why the world is in such a mess? Its because we are still eating of the tree of knowledge and rejecting the tree of life? We are living in a world where satan is king because we are rejecting god as king. Since no one has access to god without going through jesus, the word of god, we are in fact sealing our own fate which is death, death in the physical world as we are physical; mortal beings of matter without the possibility of entering god kingdom in heaven because of our rejection of the tree of life ; of god.?

Mankind lost his original paradise, where God intended humans to live happily forever. It is indeed by means of God's Kingdom* that he (God) will eventually fulfil that original purpose and have a paradise earth where humans can at last live forever, in perfect health, enjoying life on earth in good living conditions, forever.

Post #19If you read the logic of the story humans were not made to live forever as they need to eat from the tree and by withholding the tree they died naturally just like plants that don't get watered or animals that don't get fed.JehovahsWitness wrote:Your post contained a few inaccuracies but many accurate conclusions.Xidorn wrote:god created man to be part of the kingdom of god.
