Those reconciled by His Death shall be saved ?


Those that Christ died for and reconciled to God by His death, even while they were being enemies/unbelievers, but reconciled nonetheless, they shall [promise] be saved by His Life. Rom 5:10

Now what does that mean, they shall be saved by His Life ? That means by His resurrected Life they shall believe and be saved Luke 8:12

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

So in Essence, Rom 5:10 guarantees that all for whom Christ died for and reconciled to God by His Death even while they were unbelievers/enemies, that they shall become believers and be saved by His Life ! 3

Now some will contend that Paul here is writing to believers, which fact is True, However they willfully neglect to understand what he wrote to the believers of Rome, some fact about them that was true when they were not believers, but enemies and in unbelief, and that was, even then as enemies in their minds by wicked works as per Col 1:21, they were nevertheless reconciled to God [in His Favour] solely by the Death of His Son for them, and thus being reconciled [ as enemies/unbelievers] they shall be saved by His Life !

Now what does it mean that they shall be saved by His Life ? Well after His reconciling Death, He now forever lives to make Intercession for those He died Heb 7:25

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Meaning all those He died for shall be saved by His Life, His Intercession, which lives on doing as an addendum to His reconciling Death.

Those who are reconciled by His Death [ in any age of world history from the beginning of the world to its end] as an added benefit and blessing thereof, they shall be saved by His Life, out of being enemies and unbelievers Col 1:21 by His Intercession which He ever liveth to perform on their behalf. The Saving Here means that they shall be saved through His Life of Intercession, and thoroughly converted to God, and that is what " They shall be saved by His Life means Rom 5:10

Jesus Christ died for the sins of all people. All people are not now justified with God by Jesus Christ. Unrepentant evil doers are still condemned for their evil doing.

Jesus Christ died for all people, for all have sinned. But all people are not reconciled to God, for all people have not repented to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, and be saved from their sins.

By Jesus' death alone, all people that have sinned are judged guilty of shedding His innocent blood. By His resurrection anyone can repent of sinning against God, and be forgiven and reconciled by Jesus Christ.

Those continuing to sin against God are crucifying His Son afresh to themselves. No unrepented transgressor can believe Jesus Christ for salvation, because they do not believe Jesus Christ to save them from their unrepented sinning.

Christ's resurrection life guarantees that 100% of them will be sovereignly quickened, effectively brought to repentance,

Jesus Christ's quickening is only with repentance and faith, not without repentance and faith.

God's granted repentance and sanctification is at once, with repentance and sanctification from all sins and trespasses.

Sinful man's partial repentance and gradual sanctification, is by their own will alone, not by commandment and faith of God.

You are trying to turn the fruit of salvation into the cause of it.

You are trying to have the assurance of salvation without the beginning of salvation: repentance from dead works and turning to God by faith in Jesus Christ.

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

The fruit of salvation is living godly by faith in Jesus, without transgressing His commandments.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

That would be the gospel of half-hearted repentance unto gradual sanctification, by one's own will alone.

That's not the gospel of Jesus Christ's pure religion of doing good and not evil:

“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

Were enemies. Not are enemies.

Elect saints were enemies without Christ. There are no enemies enemies reconciled to God.

Answer the legal mechanics of the Holy Spirit: If the elect were objectively received into God's absolute favor (katallassō) while they were still ungodly enemies, how can they be under forensic condemnation and wrath before the bar of God's justice at the same time?

Rom 16:18
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Gid has no favor upon ungodly enemies by wicked works. God has mercy upon them that repent of their wicked works for Jesus' sake. God justifies them doing good, not any one doing evil:

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is doing good is of God: but he that is doing evil hath not seen God.

Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

the law has zero right to charge the elect with a single sin.

The law of Christ condemns every unrighteous transgressor.

Jesus' elect are not unrighteously transgressing.

They are born into time spiritually blind, but forensically debt-free before the heavenly tribunal.

And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

4. Why the Elect Repent You cite Acts 2:37 to prove man must repent, but you completely ignored why their hearts were pricked. They didn't use their carnal free will to initiate that repentance.

True. God grants repentance by grace, that He might have mercy by grace.

Man's own half-hearted repentance and partial sanctification is not by grace of God.

The Holy Spirit sovereignly executed the Internal and Effectual Call under Peter's preaching, quickening their dead hearts and opening their blind eyes. They repented because God had already moved first to make them alive.

No man is alive to God without repentance from dead works. No man is alive to God with lukewarm repentance from some dead works.

So, let's conclude the matter with plain talk: By your gospel are you still transgressing God's commandments, or are you now only doing good and not evil?

Now understand this, Christ's Death does save in a way of Justification solely by His Death, the conversion experience of both faith and repentance of the ones saved by way of Justification before God is not needed, but only His Death Rom 5:18-19

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience [death] of one shall many be made righteous [or Just as in Justified.

Isa says the same thing here Isa 53:1

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

The He shall bear their iniquities is the same and equals to in Rom 5:19 " So by the Obedience of One " that Obedience consisted in bearing their iniquities at His Death. And by that Obedience alone they are Made Righteous or Justified. The word Justify in Isa 53:11 is the Hebrew word tsadaq :


to be just, be righteous

to have a just cause, be in the right

3) to be just (of God)

4) to be just, be righteous (in conduct and character)

b) (Niphal) to be put or made right, be justified

c) (Piel) justify, make to appear righteous, make someone righteous

So Yes, Justification of Life here as Per Rom 5:18, and 19 being made Righteous equals to Salvation in that they are saved from, delivered from the penalty of all their sins and the condemnation thereof of God's Law ! This Justification of Life came solely upon Christ's One Act of Righteousness, as opposed to Adam's one act trespass that did merit condemnation. The Justification of Life by one [Christ's act] is just as real as the condemnation was for Adam's one act; Hence all for whom Christ died, have to their credit forever, Justification of Life, saved from the penalty of Sin which was against God's Law and Justice, and that forever, even while they are unbelievers and enemies, though they will become believers in their lifetime [The Just shall live by Faith] But until then, they are saved [by Justification of Life] ! 4
