Do you have a scripture to support your comment?
Of course.
It has already been posted to you, but here it is again.
"And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent", John 17:3.
Why are you quoting that scripture in the context of our discussion here?I have one that supports the it matters if you don't know God.
Thess 2:7-9 "and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,"
We both know God, you and I.

You said "It will not then matter what I expect". If you don't know, then how can you claim to know God? Therefore, it does matter, because those that don't know God will be eternally punished.

You asked what I expected, not what I know.B Bob wrote: [Replying to Checkpoint]

Expectation is not knowledge.

Let's don't mince words. Who will we see sitting on the throne when we enter the seventh day of God's creation; aka, the true Sabbath?

Let's not think our expectations are the same as actual knowing.B Bob wrote: [Replying to Checkpoint]

But go on, B Bob, tell us your own answer!

Ok, but first: are you in agreement we shall enter God's eternal rest and that eternal rest is the seventh day of His creation; the true Sabbath?

I say HIS image has nothing at all to do with how HE Looks or HIS outer form but refers to HIS personhood as rational and rationally emotional, self aware and other aware and with a free will.B Bob wrote: [Replying to post 6 by 2timothy316]
Yes, so let's go to what it says in Gen 1:26-27. If God is spirit only as you claim, then there is no other conclusion we can come to other than God made man in the invisible image and likeness of His spirit. Obviously, this is not the case. It is also obvious that God never said He was only Spirit as you supposed.
What say you?
PCE Theology as I see it...
We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.
This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

What I agree with is what is conveyed in Hebrews 4.B Bob wrote: [Replying to Checkpoint]
