The GLBT,TG,TS,Q, henceforth named the alphabet community (with no malice), isn't asking for approval of their lifestyle. They are asking for equal rights, for equal commitment.

They are not asking for God's approval, and it's not your/our job to give them God's approval.

They are not asking to be church sanctioned.

It is a legal issues.

There is a history of a gay partner being denied the same rights of a straight couple. This isn't a church issue, it's a legal issue.

To fight against gay marriage is to target the alphabet community to specifically deny them rights of equality. And to do that is not Agapao.

MARRIAGE as a word in english has only existed 1200 years or so. Before that, the most often used word was in Latin, the language of the Church of Rome. WHY? Because the Church over saw the marriages. NOT for religious reasons, but in a hamlet, with non noble blood, but with families and dowagers and the like it was a legal contract. The Church could read and write, and thus record the contract. That is the only reason the Church was involved.

Before the Church existed, people who were not jews were in marriages blessed by God. The topic isn't one owned by the faith. It existed before the faith noted it.

We should not deny them equal rights.
The term is not owned by the Church.

Jesus commands would insist you supported them.
Matthew 5:43-48, everyone loves those that love them, but God loves His enemies, and even provides necessities of life for those enemies, so love as surely as God loves, I.O.W. love your/His enemies. Love requires a demonstration, action, a providence or it's not the Love Jesus names.

Fighting Gay marriage is the antithesis to supporting them for their needs. There fore it's Anti Christ.

They are an abomination.... except there are dozens of abominations in the Bible, and those aren't denied marriage rights, so that would make that a bigotted position, isolated against only ONE of those abominations.

They are sinners, all sorts of sinners are married in the Church every day, much less just to legally be recognized a couple which has nothing to do with the church.

Paul said it's not his job to judge those outside the church, that is God's job. He repeatedly told his churches to feed the poor, take care of the widows, etc... Sometimes they were in the church, sometimes not. The early church was noted for caring for even those not of their faith.

You aren't caring for, you are harrassing, you aren't loving, you are condemning, you aren't agapaoing, you are hating, you aren't showing God's love, you make Him into a fascist, when you fight against God's marriage.

Last argument, Jesus told the soldier to be a good soldier, even though that was a detested, and unGodly job. Same thing with the tax collector. They worked for the govt, and Jesus did not condemn them, but said do your job.

Your elected officials have a job to do, take care of the people, not just God's people. Paul said the govt is GOD APPOINTED, so let them do their God appointed job, and stop harrasing them and the alphabet community. Support their need/right for equal rights, stop the bigotry.

I disagree that we are married as soon as we jump in the sack and declare ourselves married. Romans 13 instructs us to obey the laws of the land. The law in Michigan states that you need a marriage license and a ceremony that needs to be performed by an individual qualified to do it. Until then you are not legally married.
