Welcome!

It seems to me, that new members rarely post a introduction thread anymore. As such I am making this thread as a way that new members can say hi, and get to know a couple of people on the forums.

So to all the new members:

First of all, hello!

Second, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
“People generally quarrel because they cannot argue.
- G.K. Chesterton

“A detective story generally describes six living men discussing how it is that a man is dead. A modern philosophic story generally describes six dead men discussing how any man can possibly be alive.
- G.K. Chesterton

Hey, Howdy HEY!

I am an older Gent with a big family and big medical issues. But, I can sure study. :D This looks like it's the place for all types of points of view. That's what I like.
I am a believer. By that I mean that I believe that there is a creator and the aforementioned has shared his directions and guidance with his creation. Sadly, the creation keeps ignoring the Father and creates groups and organizations in his very myopic image. We should be striving to find the TRUTH and striving to follow it in everything.

So, having said that, I'm off to study and learn. ;)

Blessings to you all,
Paul

Hello everyone;

My name is Ray and I am the founder of God's Beloved Assembly (The Dove), which is a non religious base organization searching for truth. I joined this forum looking to grow in my understanding through sharing views of many.

Thank you for having me.

Well, first of all I made an introduction thread in General Chat so I think that was quite possibly the wrong thing to do now that I see this thread. lol.

New forum and all... definitely will take some getting used to.

Anyhow, I'm pretty new to Christianity and wanted to join a christian site for discussion (not debate) purposes and wanted to take the safe route and avoid any potential nutcases so I thought a larger site would be a safe bet

But from time to time I wouldn't mind discussing things. Like forgiveness... how does one forgive? This is what is on my mind now...

but tomorrow I'm sure it will be different. :)

Hi everyone

My name is Richard, mid 40s, with kids. Live in england.

I do enjoy well structured debates, not the petty rubbish you get on social media sites. Gives chance to to actually learn and understand things better.

As far as religion goes, i;m totally against it. I am of the belief that structured religion is by its very nature divisive and prejudiced and as a result responsible for many of the worlds problems through history.

That said, i am not OPPOSED to the existence of a "god" or "gods" in principle. I dont know, therefor i will not dismiss the possibility.
That of course is a far cry from me personally believing that any specific god or gods MUST be the truth.

What’s going on, people(s)? How’s that debatingchristiany forum life treating you?

Hey, I’m a new one round here, so here’s a tid bit about myself. I’m a Southern California raised fellow, originally from the City of Angels, but now living in sunny San Diego. I had to escape L.A. but I love L.A.

I am a Christian by upbringing and faith, even though I am by no means educated in scripture. I love cruising; I crave get togethers with family and friends. I drink to get a buzz and relax, but I’m not a drunk. I hate going to work, and I hate getting up early, therefore I don’t go to sleep ‘til the wee hours of the morning on the regular. I’m into neighborhood art, modern history, Christian theology, calo slang language, popular music, good food, camping, the beach, and hobbies that deal with borderland culture writing, and I was at one time putting together an encyclopedia of all the world’s combat aircraft.

Educational wise, I never made it past High School, so that right there explains my lack in grammatical skills and articulation. But hey, I’m here and I’m cool if you’re cool.

Your’s truly
RAIDER G.

Hello everybody,

My user name is TheThinWhiteDuke, named after my musical hero David Bowie.
Living in California, but born and raised in The Netherlands in the city Amsterdam.
My personal view in life is being a Atheist, but respecting other point of views, and really ask the same from others. That is also one of the reasons i wanted to be a member of this site, reading the great discussions on science and religion.
