Welcome!

It seems to me, that new members rarely post a introduction thread anymore. As such I am making this thread as a way that new members can say hi, and get to know a couple of people on the forums.

So to all the new members:

First of all, hello!

Second, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
“People generally quarrel because they cannot argue.
- G.K. Chesterton

“A detective story generally describes six living men discussing how it is that a man is dead. A modern philosophic story generally describes six dead men discussing how any man can possibly be alive.
- G.K. Chesterton

True, but gnostic means something else, I think. So am I allowed to create a label for the sole purpose of more properly identifying myself? Because Agnostic Atheist is not something I am, and Atheist is not specific enough, and just isn't as smart sounding as a title with two words xP.

Welcome!

I would take the results of isidewith.com with a grain of salt. I scored high with the Green Party too, but I remember watching parts of the 2012 third party debate and thinking that the Green Party candidate was kook who thought that she would have magical powers if she became President because she kept making promises that she couldn't possibly keep.

Very true, very true. I agree with many of the party's stances on controversial issues, but not all of them, and not all of their candidates are entirely... Sane XD.

Still, I strongly dislike the party system in general, so I refuse to side with any party.
I am a nostic atheist. This means that I do not believe in any God or Gods (atheist) and that I know that my atheistic perspective is correct (nostic). However, if you think that you can convert me, go for it ^_^. I crave intelligent discussion. I am also looking for someone to debate one-on-one. Have a nice day!

Hello! I am Fred Barclay. I am a (very) conservative Christian who believes in the Bible's absolute inerrancy. I also believe in the Christian Trinity. One of my favorite Bible verses is Micah 6:8,"He has shown thee, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God?" This is a personal guide-post for me.

I like Australian Rules Football, love traveling, and run Linux as my computer OS (Linux Mint mainly. I love it!).

Somehow despite all the stories you hear of sharks in Australia I've avoided getting eaten so far. Maybe because I don't swim?

That's about it!

Hello
i am yahya (the arab version of jean)
Peace be upon you all
I am a moroccan muslim and guess what im not a terrorist :D
I was born and raised a muslim i never knew what other religions were about and never actually cared i knew some things that we have in the holly quraan but not in details specially about christianity but our quraan asks us in clear words to reason with and debate other people so i got interested recently in learning about other religions and trying to understand how they see the world
My goal is to read follow as many debates as possible and maybe when im ready be a part of a debate myself
I've tryed some other forums some in my mother tongue where its easier to express yourself but sadly none are well moderated and managed as this one and mist importantly people are not judged before they debate.
Well thats about it and sorry english is my 3d language so sorry for the poor english

Hi all. I like discussing religion. I was brought up as an orthodox member of the Church of England in the UK. I like real bible study that includes scholarly research into the writing of the Bible. I think we all should be prepared to as questions about what we believe and why| including why it took 300 years for Christians to elevate Jesus from the Messiah, Son of God, to being God. Send any thoughts to me at ken2981h@outlook.com.
Cheers
Ken
