It seems to me, that new members rarely post a introduction thread anymore. As such I am making this thread as a way that new members can say hi, and get to know a couple of people on the forums.

So to all the new members:

First of all, hello!

Second, why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
“People generally quarrel because they cannot argue.
- G.K. Chesterton

“A detective story generally describes six living men discussing how it is that a man is dead. A modern philosophic story generally describes six dead men discussing how any man can possibly be alive.
- G.K. Chesterton

Hello;

I was born in San Diego, where I resided 41 years before moving to Oregon
in 1985. I served three years in the US Army from 1961-64, and retired
from a welding career in 2006.

I was baptized an infant into the Roman Catholic Church and attended
catechism where I completed First Holy Communion and Confirmation. I was
loyal to Rome its teachings for 24 years before switching to
Protestantism.

I began participating on religion forums back in 1997 and before the web
became the dot com, social networking Tyrannosaurus-net that it is today.

Hello all, my name is Sam. I am glad a found this forum, it looks like a lively and respectful place. I used to post in debate forums all the time, but work and grad school took up my time for a bit. Plus I got kind of frustrated that all discussions seemed to devolve into bickering. I'm glad that seems unlikely to be the case here.

I am absolutely a Christian, although I have some non-traditional beliefs. I like reading and teaching about history. I also love reading science fiction books and play way too many video games. Glad to meet everyone!

Hello. O:) I am a professional student of Scripture for about 15 years, a follower of Christ, no denomination or affiliations. My areas of study are as diverse as our universe, anything that helps me reconcile what is written with what is, ever delving deeper into mysteries.

I happened upon this forum during a surf one day, always interested in meeting others for discussion. It has been my experience that discourse with diversity assists in forming a clearer perspective of life, which is what I seek to find and share with others. Online socializing is the greatest thing since cream cheese, in my humble opinion. Nice to be here!

Hey guys, I'm new here and looking forwards to some interesting debates!

just a few things about me:

I'm 13 years old (about to turn 14) my bday is July 1st. (hey, young people can know a lot about religion and world views too). I'm a strong conservative republican Christian. (wont back down). And a TEXANNNN!! So, yeah, I'm also and country boy from central texas, live on a 660 acre ranch there and proud of it. I am in 8th grade but taking freshman classes. I play guitar and harmonica, and enjoy sports (especially football) and working out. My dream job is runningback in the NFL. I'm also homeschooled.

Good day to you all and God Bless :D
