Let's cut to the chase. Do you have any evidence?

I feel like we've been beating around the bush for... 6000 years!

Can you please either provide some evidence for your supernatural beliefs, or admit that you have no evidence?

If you believe there once was a talking donkey (Numbers 22) could you please provide evidence?

If you believe there once was a zombie invasion in Jerusalem (Mat 27) could you please provide evidence?

If you believe in the flying horse (Islam) could you please provide evidence?

Walking on water, virgin births, radioactive spiders who give you superpowers, turning water into wine, turning iron into gold, demons, goblins, ghosts, hobbits, elves, angels, unicorns and Santa.

Can you PLEASE provide evidence?

I don't know man.

What kind of evidence would it take to make you believe in a God other than the one you believe in?

What kind of evidence would you need to believe me if I told you I was abducted by aliens?

If you want to convince me that the stories of the talking donkey that imparts wisdom or the radioactive spider that gives you superpowers are real, the evidence had better be substantial.

I have been a Christian all my life....No point in listening to me.

Ok, so in other words you are admitting that you have no evidence. Thank you.

Anybody else?

But how can an atheist find God.....Wouldn't it take a miracle.
You yourself being an atheist.... would you need a miracle to believe in God?
Can you say right here and right now you will never believe in God?
What would it take to persuade you that I am able to walk on water?

They believe on faith and you ought to know that, so why are you asking them for evidence?

I see...To difficult a question. Believing in God doesn't hurt you know?

Answer to your question:Rise from the dead after three days after being crucified.

Substantial? Ha that's an understatement. There is no evidence that you could possibly present to me that would convince me to believe something like you were abducted by aliens.

When you say aliens you're talking about spacemen yes?

Unless you can answer my question I really can't take the OP seriously.

The video was of Lee Strobel............who claims he was a serious atheist and then coverted to Christianity after he examined the evidence in his book the Case for Christ.

Couple things here that are a major fail from this guy.

First, his claim of antheism like many individuals who claim to find salvation is that they have no equipped themselves with enough scientific understanding of the world be to critical of those believes they talk to...........

and second......this is the major problem....

In his quest to find out if Chriisitianity was true he researched only Christian sources not unbias secural sources of bible scholarship and archelology.

Claiming to be a skeptic he set up a straw man atheist position and knock it down and now makes a good living preaching his coversion and books.....

Bottom line, I've read his book and the only evidence he gives is appealing to authorities that already believe and their cherry pick and/or even made up positive intperations of weak or non existing data.....

But you didn't see Jesus do that, so why do you believe? Because you read it in the tabloids?

I think your post applies to all atheists.
If I can't find my cell phone in the morning, I look in a pile of dirty socks and I ocasionally find it there. So, if I open my shower door, and there is a naked guy, and he says "hello, I am God", do you think I should use my second amendment rights and shoot the b...h?

The problem with God is to define god. There is no Christian, or Muslim, or most of other 2000+ gods, because multiple supposedly true statements about them can and was proven to be false. There are no miracles and we know it. You may just wish for miracles are true as you may wish to find 1 billion dollars in your backyard. Perhaps, your parents told you that miracles exist when you was a little child. They might be good people, but they lied to you, sorry.

Of course there's no evidence. People believe things, even irrational things, because they need to believe. In the case of christianity they need to believe that there's a better life after death and that everything less than whole will be made whole by a god. Good people will be rewarded and bad people will be punished. Belief is nothing but hope in the face of reality. I think well placed hope is a good thing but hope in imaginary supernatural gods is problematic at best.

Was there ever a time in our history that we didn't make up stuff to believe in so that we could make ourselves feel better? We're a weak, frightened and needy species. Early in our history it was because we knew nothing about the natural world. Now that we know how insignificant we are in the cosmos we're just as frightened.

I only have one request of those that insist on believing in a god. Can you please choose just one god and stop fighting about who's god can beat up the other? Please?
Religion is poison because it asks us to give up our most precious faculty, which is that of reason, and to believe things without evidence. It then asks us to respect this, which it calls faith. - Christopher Hitchens

Yeah, I love that kind of ridiculous debating. "This guy has no evidence either, therefore..." What? What anyone else says has nothing whatsoever with whether *YOUR* beliefs can be supported. It's a dodge, nothing more.

There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.
