Neither a jot nor a tittle of independently verifiable evidence is ever offered to demonstrate that there was a real-life character now known as Jesus the Christ.
We only have reports that people were following the Jesus cult.
And the cult propaganda itself.

But yours is the first proper thinking I've come across that thinks there were 1,000 Jesuses ...!
Seems to me EVERY person of faith thinks they've thinking properly about the Jesus the Christ character and the Bibles ...Yes. Now that I've been thinking properly about Jesus Christ and The Bible
But yours is the first proper thinking I've come across that thinks there were 1,000 Jesuses ...!
No one EVER demonstrates that "God" exists outside their parietal cortex.

Post #102"Sensitivities" are not the best qualifications for discussing history. Objectivity is more important.
It may amaze you to learn Jesus is popularly regarded as God's son. If we are discussing the reality of Christ, then establishing that his father is a fiction gives us a big lead in development.Aetixintro wrote:
For the God Deniers, the so-called one-line Atheists, this discussion is for the issue of Jesus and Jesus Christ and as such your answer does not appear pertinent.

You should know the history of ancient poetry
I am well enough acquainted with "ancient poetry". You think this is relevant to the discussion of Jesus being a real character?

Religions teach the use of such phrases as part of the brainwashing they instill in their adherents.

You can give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day, or you can teach a man to pray for fish and he will starve to death.

Also, those Jesuses spreading love with such great work that the work is considered "miracles" as metaphors of poetry side of The Bible yet being treated in cruel ways like crucified and possibly other.

What I'm saying is that, given the 1000 Jesus Christs, Jesus may just be a John Doe as well as God's creation, therefore, God's son as much as women/girls are God's daughters, all of them. As usual, men take the prominence in the Bible from those times. It may amaze you to learn Jesus is popularly regarded as God's son. I am a Christian and as such I keep wondering what function Jesus (or Jesuses) plays in the Bible, something that may escape people who are not Christians at all.I am well enough acquainted with "ancient poetry". You think this is relevant to the discussion of Jesus being a real character?

I'm cool!

Post #105I wish you well in your wondering. It's not clear which member of the legion of Christs makes you a Christian or indeed what such Christianity means. But if you take the meaning of "fictional" to be a man transformed by superstition and rumour, I agree.Aetixintro wrote:
