According to the tales, Jesus gave up a weekend. What’s the big deal?
What is the ‘sacrifice’ in a supposedly eternal being giving up a weekend being ‘dead’?
An 'omnipotent god' (or part thereof, or whatever is claimed) would presumably know that the 'death' was extremely temporary -- just a few hours (less than 48 according to the tale).
According to the tales, Jesus gave up a weekend.

Post #171Your original question was "Did Jesus blaspheme?" I have given this question much more space and attention than it deserves. Supplementary questions should be unnecessary, given the clarity of my answers.JehovahsWitness wrote:marco wrote: Just re-read what I wrote and you will find which answer applies.
I've re-read and I still can't find it. Would you mind terribly typing the word "yes" or "no"?
"So did Jesus violate any recorded law on blasphemy? "
Were I to ask: "Have you stopped blaspheming?" I wonder what your yes / no answer would be. If my previous replies are unclear to you, analyse them and comment on them so that I can correct any misunderstandings or confusion you may have experienced, if you are genuinely interested in the question of Christ's perceived blasphemy.
I cannot think why Mark 10 comes into my head: "And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him."
Go well.

My only request is that whoever makes such an attempt clearly states they are challenging the statement above - in brown - preferably quoting my claim word for word.MY CLAIM: Jesus actions and words as recorded in the gospels do NOT depict him as committing the crime of Blasphemy according to the Mosaic Law, and I challenged anyone to attempt to prove me wrong with scripture.

BLASPHEMY
The Greek term basically means injurious, defamatory, or abusive speech and was used with reference to such speech whether directed against God or against humans. (Compare Re 16:11; Mt 27:39.) : source Insight on THE Scriptures Vol I p 337 par 1

So, by you own words, the words of marco and myself, you have admitted Jesus blasphemed.
The son of a God should not be able to blaspheme.
This is another conversation where you have admitted Jesus is not possibly a religious figure. At least not a Holy one.
You tend to do this in any extended debate. You should recant based on your own positions.
