How do I determine what God requires of me?

Post by McCulloch »

I have posted what I think is the single most important issue to debate.

To me, the second most important issue is this. If there is a God, how do I determine what God requires of me? If your answer involves something that is from human agency, a book or an organization, then the question remains, "How do I know that the book's authors or the organization's leaders authoritatively speak for God?"

How do I determine what God requires of me?

No thank you. I was however wondering if I could sell your eternal life plan on your behalf? I will let you have a percentage of my earnings if you agree.

If not then I will have to start a 10% better after life guarantee. That way my hell will be hellier and heaven will be heavenier no matter what you offer. Guaranteed!!!

I was a lost teenager when I started, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

If there is any sin in me that separates us, I ask you to forgive me in whatever way you can. Please God convince me that you exist and guide me to know your will for my life."
That is even better, now make it happen.

To the left of this post, there is a tally of the number of tokens you have. Click on Donate and send me 600 of your tokens. I will in exchange promise that you will have an eternal afterlife of bliss.
Why did you choose 600?
I barely have that much, do you want to bankrupt me?

I will grant you eternal life in complete bliss for 500 tokens and throw in the promise that by giving it to me, it will come back to you three-fold*

Completely arbitrary. I am trying to make a point, in a kind of a fun way. Do you really believe that I can grant an eternal afterlife of total bliss? [rhetorical question] Why should I believe the writers of the NT that they have the key to the afterlife? [real question]

Note for realthinker: for you, drink coffee or tea for three days in a row without sugar, milk, cream or lemon. Then you will be guaranteed an eternal afterlife of bliss.

goat has donated 666 tokens to you.

I think this is a much more appropriate number for getting eternal bliss.

One word of warning though, you have also gained a new enemy, who will try his best to make sure that you will not exercise your rights as one who belongs to God, but God will get you through it all.

Fallibleone, why are you a #6, rather than a #7, on the Dawkins scale and what prevents you from entering into a saving relationship with Jesus that would allow you to live forever with him?
