"Take my word for it, or his, or this book"

Most of us probably know better than to believe everything said or written. If someone tells us they can fly by flapping their arms, our response is likely disbelief and a request that they ‘show me’. If they refuse to demonstrate or fail in flapping, we regard their claim as false. Agreed?

If a person claims to have come back to life after being dead for days none of us are likely to believe the claim unless it could be verified. Right?

If someone writes that fifty years ago a long-dead person came back to life and flew away into the sky, what would be your / our likely reaction? Would we be convinced if they say ‘many saw him’?

What would it take to convince us that the tale was true?
.
Non-Theist

ANY of the thousands of "gods" proposed, imagined, worshiped, loved, feared, and/or fought over by humans MAY exist -- awaiting verifiable evidence

So? Are you suggesting that I need to hear from you what the Lord has said?
if so, how is it we learn from the Lord alone?

Further, if you are writing what the Lord has said your posts contain the written words of God (God spoke it - you wrote it down) , correct?

Give me the quote from your so-called "Jesus" that affirms that we must "trust in the Lord alone , NOT THE BIBLE ..."
NOTE I don't want your opinion,' I don't want your interpretation of your spirit communication, I want the verbatim entire quotation containing the exact words "not the bible" from your spirit person.

OneJack wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 10:45 pm What can you read in my post if I do not present my words and the words we've heard and learned from God, which He allowed us to write for dissemination to all? They are all testimonies to the Lord, and they are not the ones who save but the Lord Himself alone.
so you expect us to believe what you write to be from God? Correct? Your post contain the written words of Almighty God verbatim?

Did Jesus want people to "believe [Moses'] writings ? Yes or No?
As per the biblical account, I would say NO. What Jesus wanted was for the people to believe in Him because Moses wrote about Him. Moses writings were testimonies to Jesus; hence, the belief should be focused and addressed to Jesus Himself.

So Jesus wanted people to reject belief the writings of Moses? He didn't want people to believe what they read in the books Moses wrote.

Please confirm - correct or incorrect.

Lets get this straight... I understand your objections (we'll get to that in a moment) but do these verses confirm as they stand that Almighty God did indeed instruct Moses to write down His (God's) words? Yes or no?

NOTE The word "scripture" literally means "a writing" or "that which is written". Derived from the Latin scriptura (from scribere, "to write"),

EXODUS 32:27
“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.’”

EXODUS 24:4a
And Moses wrote all the words of YHWH.
OneJack wrote: Mon May 04, 2026 10:56 pm The Lord Jesus definitely told us that He did not command Moses to write any scriptures.

Who appointed you a messenger and what did the individual appointing you say the message was? (surely not a message about God because that is for God alone to do. ALONE doesn't mean God + you.
The Lord Jesus commanded us to make all people in the world disciples of His name, saying:

I am your Lord God, Almighty; follow my commandments and make everything in your life good. Go forth carrying my name. Go forth with my Holy Spirit. Make all people in the world disciples of my name. Face all trials in your life with faith. And I bless you in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, forever guiding you, my child

No, you don't have to hear from me what the Lord has said to us since I have posted them in this forum. You don't have to take anything from them, either. All you need is to decide to come or not to come to Jesus and hear from Him the truth about Himself, the salvation of your soul, and how to attain eternal life with Him in Paradise.
Further, if you are writing what the Lord has said your posts contain the written words of God (God spoke it - you wrote it down) , correct?
Call it whatever you want to call it; what matters here is the Lord Himself, not those words He uttered, which He allowed us to write. I am nothing in this regard.

That's the verbatim command of the Lord [to us].
