Would more detail about Jesus help?

How tall was he? We don't know. How did he cope with adolescence? We don't know. What colour of hair did he have? We don't know. Was he bearded? We don't know. What food did he like? We don't know, but he did take a piece of fish so wasn't vegetarian. What illnesses did he have? We don't know. Did he limp, stutter, stammer, cough, have allergies? We don't know.

He came out of the shadows at thirty, never apparently took a wife, and lived rough, it seems, as an itinerant preacher.

Would it help to have a physical description of Christ?

Does the psychological portrait we have make him more of a myth?

I've been searching fr the historic Jesus for ver 10 years but just recently realized Christianity began and is based on the risen Christ . It begins when the women find an empty tomb and Mary meets him in the garden. It begins when she witnesses to Peter. So I don't think more detail about Jesus would help.

I suppose it depends on which of the many branches of Christianity you examine. Women have very little to say in the New Testament. The interesting thing about the resurrected Christ is that people didn't recognise him at first. This may be because he was wearing new clothes (or like the Emperor, none), his own being in the possession of some noble Roman and his funeral garments left with the angels. We must suppose another miracle occurred during the night and heaven gave Jesus unfamiliar garments.

There is a certain childishness about the various conflicting details of who saw what afterwards. For me, the angel speaking in a matter-of-fact way - "He's popped out for a bit!" is a folly too far.
