Can Christians prove most gods don't exist?

Post by Artie »

In the thread "Justify the belief that gods do not exist" dianaiad says and I quote: "The challenge from me...and indeed, from the title of the post, was to prove that gods do not exist."

Strong atheists believe that gods do not exist. The challenge from me is for dianaiad and other Christians to prove that the vast majority of gods don't exist.

Can you do that?

I agree that "gods" exist(ed) only in the minds of believers.

Some attempt to say that only applied in the past, but cannot show valid reason to accept the existence of any currently popular "god." It would seem as though a person who realizes that formerly popular "gods" were imaginary would recognize that currently popular "gods" cannot be shown to be any more real.

ANY of the thousands of "gods" proposed, imagined, worshiped, loved, feared, and/or fought over by humans MAY exist -- awaiting verifiable evidence

I would have trouble assigning a god to something which can be seen, touched, created, and controlled within my own physical world.

Take fire for example. If I can make, see, get warmth from, and control a fire; then I do not need a God of Fire.

That is not the case with the one true God of Abraham.

He is not limited by physical things.
