Some people believe that gods do not exist. (One can call this position "atheism" or "strong atheism" or "anti-theist perversion," anything you want. But we aren't going to argue terminology in this thread. Clarity is good, so you can explain what you personally mean by "atheist," but you shouldn't suggest that other usages are inferior.)

This thread is to make a list of arguments, of reasons to believe that theism is false.

And we can discuss the soundness of those arguments.

I'll start:

1. The Parable of the Pawnbroker.
(I'll just post titles here, so as not to take too much space at the top of each thread.)

With respect to OP, I see no need to justify my not believing folks who can't show they need to be believed.

That's like me expecting the pretty thing to believe I tracked mud through the house 'cause it is I hate her, and not that I'm too danged goofy to remember her rule on the me not trackin' no mud through the house 'cause it was, she said to not.

She's actually said such - "You must hate me, if you continue to do what it is I said to don't".

Is the absence of evidence proof positive that no deer exist in the game preserve? Of course not BUT it is strong indication that the promoter isn't telling the truth.

Where has it been proven that GOD has promised to be seen by anyone if they go to a certain place at a certain time? Your analogy fails in that such advertising is not in the Bible.

Notice the word "promoter" in what I said. Many people are promoters of their god concept. Nothing is said about "god promising" or the Bible saying anything. Evidently some modern people claim to have seen God. https://www.google.com/search?q=who+cla ... 8&oe=utf-8

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. Why? Exodus 33:20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."

Doesn't the bible say elsewhere that people have seen God?

BTW, isn't Jesus said to be 100% God? Did people see him?
