Try and give one reason philosophically or scientifically that God doesnt exist, but not one emotionally.

No-one can prove it's existence.

Any evidence that one tries to give for the guy is completely subjective. Example from a believer, the universe or the earth are evidence for god. Example from a non-believer, the universe and earth are evidence of purely natural circumstances.

God belief is based on faith while atheism is based on evidence. Even though I cannot prove god exists or doesn't the evidence leads to a conclusion that does not require a god.

Prove that Gandalf the Grey doesn't exist. You can't, can you? Therefore he exists. Yeah, right.
Prove that Professor Dumbledore doesn't exist.
Or Batman.
Or Mr Ed the talking horse....

Try this for starters... It is absurdly easy to give a reason or argument why those characters don't exist: The writers of those characters clearly and openly state that they are their own fictional inventions.

Because we have found better theories. Hebrew monotheism declared creation and the universe to be orderly, rather than the chaotic origins and often squabbling deities of the Babylonian, Egyptian and Greek pantheons. We have found that the universe in fact is very orderly. Zeus' lightning, Apollo's sun-chariot and so on have also all been better understood in light of more extensive observation of reality - as has Yahweh's 7-day formation of the world and its life, of course.

Against God's existence itself we've also developed other, equally-absurd theories; but the problems of why anything happens, and why it happens in an orderly (rather than completely random) fashion, and how/why subjective experience exists in a supposedly objective reality... those are all questions for which I have not yet seen any convincing alternative answer or theory.

There's two ways to argue that theism is wrong:
> Show directly that it's wrong
> Show that a mutually-exclusive theory is correct (or significantly better)

So far neither has been accomplished in this thread - I don't think anyone's even made the attempt!
