The question is simple. Why did an omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient being create man? Boredom?

Let me answer that with some questions of my own...

Why do artists paint?
Why do musicians play music?
Why do parents have children?
Why do authors write books?
Why do politicians crank out bills without end?

perhaps. maybe it's as simple as the notion that creating humans is more interesting than doing nothing. =)

maybe it's for a reason more akin to why us humans would want to procreate -- being someone who is capable of love, he created beings (namely us) who are worthy enough to share that love with and are worthy enough to be able to reciprocate that love on their own?

or maybe it's like why we would want to create art -- that we do these things to show just what we are capable of. not necessarily to prove it to others or ourselves; more for the purposes of self-exploration.

or maybe it's all of the above.

could it be that God created man in His own image because to Him, it was the pinnacle of creation? that it was the best thing he could and did create? what IS the best thing, you think, that God could create?

So then God's desire to create humans is something that stems from entertainment or enjoyment or self-satisfaction? Or are you more referring to passion or creative drive? Why would God have a vocation? God would still be God without being a creator.

or maybe it's like why we would want to create art -- that we do these things to show just what we are capable of. not necessarily to prove it to others or ourselves; more for the purposes of self-exploration.

God is omniscient? Why would he want to explore himself?

So he did it because he could? Why? He wanted to show off? To whom?

If he was bored, or just trying to create a masterpiece, he loses the omispent because he proved he wasn't perfect.

if that's true, why do you suppose he made a creation as elaborate and complex as us in order to have us undergo floods and plagues? Why might He go to all the trouble?

I don't know about him, but I can't see why a perfect being needs to create more beings. For what purpose?

Imagine this. You get a thousand deck of cards, and stack the cards one by one to make it look like, say..., the White House.

When you're done, what do you do with it? Glue them together? Of course you have some fun by demolishing it with a hairdryer!

God made us in HIS image, and so we have similiar natures to him, and the above just so happens to be one of His characteristics. He makes complex beings that can procreate so that he can kill them all he wants, and more will just be born for his killing satisfactions.
