The notes of Josephus. Firstly the Jewish historian Josephus has mentioned Jesus. In his notes there appear several persons of the Bible - John the Baptist, Herod, Pilate, Cyrenius, Archelaus, the clergy of Jerusalem... - he also tells us in some passages of how the Sanhedrin was called together and its task was to condemn “Jacob, who was the brother of the man called Christ ". He so referred to Jacob, Jesus’ brother, child of Mary and Joseph who was one of "the pillars" of the congregation of Jerusalem. This man had been condemned by the Sanhedrin because he had followed Jesus Christ.

Josephus has preserved another longer statement about Jesus. In this one he mentions that Pilate sentenced Jesus, and he also speaks of his crucifixion and resurrection. He also mentions in an earlier passage how Jesus taught and worked miracles. He also had followers:

"At that time lived Jesus, the man filled by wisdom, as far as he can be called man. He did quite unbelievable things and was a teacher of all of them who gladly heard the truth. Many Jews and Greeks followed him. He was Christ. Provoked by our influential men Pilate condemned him to death on the cross. However they who earlier had loved him, held fast to him. He appeared as alive to them on the third day such as the prophets sent by God have prophesied about him in thousands of marvellous prophecies. There is still a sect, which calls themselves after him: Christians.”

Firstly the Jewish historian Josephus has mentioned Jesus.
But, as you know, Josephus' writing were corrupted by later christian copyists. Since we don't know what Josephus originally wrote, his references may have just been added later by scribes that stuck Jesus in where they thought he shold have appeared.

And since Josephus couldn't have been an eyewitness anyway, his writings count as nothing in the question of the historicity of Jesus.

Jesus?

I wouldn't argue that Jesus existed (exists). I have no clue and it really doesn't matter. The truth of Jesus really has no bearing on my life today. I can write anything I want. I can claim all sorts of outragous things. I can even claim to have a direct connection to "GOD" and have my opinions validated by that claim. The religions of the world, therefore the world, is in great turmoil because of people who claim such things. Different religions based on books such as the Bible and the Koran seem bent on killing each other. These books in reality have no more authority that the latest Sears catalogue. Yet people, ((good people)) , have bought into these lies and are now killing in the name of fictional characters. The only truth that I can see is that we as a civilization had better put these collection of short stories on the shelf and recognize that we are brothers and sisters and need to live together in harmony. The only way to do that is to deal in truth. Truth being is we have no clue about the secrets of "GOD". I do not need a "GOD" to tell me I should love my brother!!!

Which word of God? Because the Quran version speaks of a certain Mohammad as God's chosen one, and the Jewish Torah denies the comming of any messiah (as of yet).

Which book should I trust?

So in other words, you have no evidence of it, you just choose to believe it because it makes you feel better.
