Haven't we all, at one time or another, wondered what the future will be like? Experts of men have had a spotty reputation as most of their predictions have proved untrue.
What does the Bible tell us? "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed....It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever." (Daniel 2:44, Revised Standard Version)
Is this good news? Of course, when we realize what God's Kingdom is. It is a real government that will replace all of the existing governments on the earth and stand forever. Stability and order will be brought to people on the earth. What will life be like under this government?
NO MORE WAR (Psalm 46:9)
NO MORE SICKNESS (Isaiah 33:24)
NO MORE FOOD SHORTAGE (Psalm 72:16)
NO MORE PAIN, SORROW AND DEATH (Revelation 21:4)
These are just some of the promises made in the Bible about God's Kingdom, and there are more. God has promised all these wonderful things for the future. All righteously inclined people can avail themselves of these promises. Does this sound good to you?

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #211
Gosh darn it, I am compelled yet again to post another video.
My favorite ex-JW husband & wife team (JT & Lady Cee)....speaking out against the WTS.
Both of them are old enough to remember the false prophecy of 1975, and Lady Cee recalls JW students dropping out of school so that they could "regular pioneer" (field service)...because the time was so near, and they weren't discouraged by to so, and what better time to devote their attention to field service.
She also stated that people were hurrying to get baptized because Lord forbid for Christ to return and you weren't baptized.
.....
And in the comment section of the video, you can read former Witnesses also share their experiences as to the climate of that time within the organization.
The message is clear and consistent throughout, the WTS had led many astray by pushing a false, ungodly narrative of an end of times prophesy which was to take place at some point in 1975.
It never came to past, because God did not declare it.

Post #212I'm not interested in anything ex-JWs have to say. They just want to tear down rather than build up. What do they have to look forward to? What do they say is the outcome that will take place after God brings an end to the devil's system of things?SiNcE_1985 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 11:04 am

Most people did not hurry to get baptized or cancel their bank accounts and their insurances, etc. Those people were on the verge of leaving the organization anyway. They found an excuse to do so.

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #213Yeah, and I'm not interested in anything current JWs have to say.
But false prophets, teachers, and organizations will continue to be exposed.
Yeah, they want to tear down lies, corruption, and wickedness done in God's name...and rather build up a holy, sanctified, system where people aren't lead astray by religious authorities that they trust. They just want to tear down rather than build up.
They were lied to, and they are simply sharing their experiences as it relates to the subject in question.
So instead of talking down upon them, maybe you should give your organization a closer look and perhaps you'd see that they aren't inspired by God after all, nor is God using them as his earthly vessel.
Right now? I don't know. But back then, they had 1975 to look forward to.What do they have to look forward to?
What does the Bible say? What do they say is the outcome that will take place after God brings an end to the devil's system of things?
Yes, they did. Most people did not hurry to get baptized or cancel their bank accounts and their insurances, etc.
They've shared their testimonies, and you cant take their experiences away from them.
Anyone who gives a false prophecy is not of God (Deut 18:22).Those people were on the verge of leaving the organization anyway. They found an excuse to do so.
Point blank, period.
And that is a good excuse (reason), to not only leave the organization (them), but not belong to it in the first place (me).
I got 99 problems, dude.

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #214I was asking what the EX Witnesses have to look forward to. What do they offer instead of Paradise on Earth in perfect conditions? I haven't ever heard any one of them say anything about a bright future ahead.SiNcE_1985 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:08 pmYeah, and I'm not interested in anything current JWs have to say.

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #217They are offering inside scoops on what they've experienced as former Jehovah's Witnesses.
Think of it like...The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (film franchise).
Survivors of the house where Leatherface resides and conducts his terrors, the survivors have escaped and can testify to the horrors inside the house/basement of a chainsaw wielding maniac.
And those survivors can report those horrors to the outside world, basically telling us..
"I wouldn't go in that house if I were you. I've been inside, and ain't nothing nice about it".
Now, outsider's are educated and can rightfully beware.
This information is necessary, that's what ex JW's have to offer.

Post #219I ask respectfully...who cares?onewithhim wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:56 am I am asking you what they say there is coming in the future.
The point is, Jehovah's Witnesses, as an organization, are a cult, and I offer my most sincerest and genuine suggestion that you leave the WTS organization and become a follower of Jesus Christ, ALONE.
That is all you need, onewithhim.
To say that you need to additionally belong to a man-made organization, is to say that Jesus Christ isn't enough and he must be supplemented.
But the Bible is clear that Jesus IS enough.
Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
John 10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture."
No organization is mentioned, hinted, implied, or insinuated.
Salvation is through one man, Jesus Christ.

Again, who cares? What is the hope that they hold out to people?

Post #220Any person really cares if they have any insight at all. A person needs to know what is ahead for him and his loved ones. Again, who cares? What is the hope that they hold out to people?
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is the REWARDER of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6) What is the reward of saved people? "But it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (I Cor. 2:9, KJV) What do your ex-JWs say that God has prepared for the people who love him?
