Haven't we all, at one time or another, wondered what the future will be like? Experts of men have had a spotty reputation as most of their predictions have proved untrue.
What does the Bible tell us? "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed....It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever." (Daniel 2:44, Revised Standard Version)
Is this good news? Of course, when we realize what God's Kingdom is. It is a real government that will replace all of the existing governments on the earth and stand forever. Stability and order will be brought to people on the earth. What will life be like under this government?
NO MORE WAR (Psalm 46:9)
NO MORE SICKNESS (Isaiah 33:24)
NO MORE FOOD SHORTAGE (Psalm 72:16)
NO MORE PAIN, SORROW AND DEATH (Revelation 21:4)
These are just some of the promises made in the Bible about God's Kingdom, and there are more. God has promised all these wonderful things for the future. All righteously inclined people can avail themselves of these promises. Does this sound good to you?

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #241I might be misunderstanding you. What is your understanding of the Kingdom of God? Most people believe that (1) all good people go to heaven and (2) the Kingdom is inside you.APAK wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 2:57 pmYou tell me, where did I made a point concerning where is eternal life today, or in the future and how it would be like? And since I just looked at your OP again, I guess now I know why you might have this inquiry. So do you want me now to make a point on this subject, as it seems to concern you, about where is eternal life 'located?' It seems you do. And I'm still guessing, what might have spurred you on with this train of thought. Is it the connection I made with eternal life and the Kingdom? Sorry, I really do not know you reasoning here...mixed signals..

The Kingdom of God is present for those who are genuinely reborn with the spirit of Christ given by, and also with the Father's Spirit. And I'm one of those converts. From here my Eschatological view is most probably different than your on the KoG.

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #244You must agree that the Kingdom of God should affect a person's heart, influencing their thoughts, attitudes, and feelings, today, in this life, on this current state of the earth? Those in the Kingdom on this earth today, do the will set forth in heaven by God through his Son as King.JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 5:37 pmIt sounds like a version of "God's kingdom is ruling in believers hearts" but please explain if that is not so...APAK wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 2:48 pm [Replying to onewithhim in post #241]

The Kingdom is active today as Christ rules. The Kingdom did arrive as predicted. And when in its mature state, once realized, of its consummation in the future, those then in immortality will know they are living in a literal Kingdom under the presence of God through his Son, and not on this physical earth. Immortals do not live and are not suited for earthly living. The earth was fitted and designed only for mortal humans. Immortals live in another realm, as where the angels and Christ live today.

Post #245I agree; but what is the kingdom? The kingdom is a ...[fill in the blank]
I agree...but you still haven't provided a definition for what the kingdom IS (that they are in).
So we know it [<----] is active at the same time as Christ is ruling...the only information missing is WHAT IS IT?
Great ... we know it arrived. We just dont know what it is. If only someone would tell us what it is that arrived (as predicted)
So from what tou said We know it will mature; and that lots of good things will happen once this yet undefined thing matures.
Like I said, it sounded to me in your other post that you believe the kingdom is a feeling (in the hearts of believers). Now it sounds like it sounds like you believe it is something that exists independent of that. Could you give me a working definition of what the kingdom is ( rather than what it will do and when it will do it?)

(Daniel 2:44) "In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed...it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever." (NASB)
(Isaiah 9:6,7) "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on his shoulders....There will be no end to the increase of his government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom. to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness, from then on and forever more. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this." (NASB)
This is yet to come. And it looks like the Kingdom is more than what is in someone's heart or mind.

Re: THE FUTURE
Post #247Sure, and it it more than a look. It's happening now, the Kingdom is alive today. Although from our perspective today, and in doing our part, it must operation from our hearts and minds; in order to do the will of God on earth today as its being done already in heaven. It must be a spiritual walk of doing God's will, everyday, as citizens of the Kingdom, ever since Christ gained his authority and is King today, in power.onewithhim wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:57 pmYes, what do you think of the following scriptures about the Kingdom?APAK wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 2:48 pm [Replying to onewithhim in post #241]

Or will it be new cycles of humans born as older humans die off?
