I know it probably isn't my place, but I wanted to express that I feel the challenges to moderators are getting out of hand. I fully believe that our moderating team is extremely fair, and I really think that these challenges are becoming too prevalent. I'm not a moderator myself, yet even I find it distracting and inappropriate when 4 or 5 posts in half a dozen threads are spent arguing with moderators or accusing them of bias. It is against the rules to challenge a moderator within a thread. We have all read the rules and we all know it.

If you feel a moderator has taken inappropriate action, send a PM. if you still feel that they are biased, there is even a thread to address it here: http://debatingchristianity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10868

I really think that we need to remember that it is not appropriate to challenge moderator action within a thread. It does not further debate, and only serves to derail the thread. There is an effective and working system in place for addressing perceived bias, and it needs to be used. I will unashamedly say that I have reported this more than once, but it seems to happen almost as often as moderator action is taken.

There is an avenue of appeal for moderator bias, and it needs to be followed.

DC&R is one of the most fairly moderated, balanced, and civil religious debate forums on the net, and as participating members, isn't it our duty to obey the same rules that help make this forum what it is, and what we enjoy?

And a merry xmass to the moderating team Otseng, McCulloch, Cnorman, Jester, Micatala, Confused...(have I left anyone out?) may your wisdom issue forth eternal evenhandedness.

Final Enigma has a point. The guys are pretty good at remaining unbiased. I visited Carm the other day and saw a vision of intellectual purgatory.
just keep doing what you are doing guys.

With one xcept..tion I think the team strike the right balance.
