The Search for Truth

Post #1

Post by Being1 »

Isn't it true, that we (Mankind) are looking for the Truth. Not everybody all the time, but collectively as a species. Since the question first arose, 'what is this world I am in', hasn't the search for an answer to this, the search for Truth, been of prime interest to us? And is it not the drive behind both science and religion?

Is it correct to define science as that which studies the world, that which looks into the matter in an effort to understand it? And is it correct to define religion as a looking within to faith and belief in order to make sense of, and feel ok about the world?

The Search for Truth ...

On Harrison thread .... "Since the question first arose, 'what is this world I am in'"

Well Bro ... we are on a planet that is just a dot on the universe with no special role but to abide with the evolution of time and space. No more no less. So take a good time and behave like a good passenger. And on the broader sense .... as to quote;

If the present scientists are correct ... there are about 3 trillion stars calculated ... say: they are 1% correct and 1% of 1% is about 300,000 stars having habitable planets like ours. That means to say, there are also about 300,000 Gods? And what does God mean btw? And are we sure that bible stories are reliably correct too as historical basis? Just think about it then!

And we have some research for the Partial Recovery of Truth ... on the other thread .... The Origin of God ......
