Since my move over to Linux(Ubuntu 10.04 amd64, if you're wondering), I've been using a program called Texmaker to write my lab reports and such. I also recently registered on physicsforums.com, and noticed a nifty feature there.
On physicsforums, one can use the [tex] and [itex] tags to enter mathematical formulae and such by using the commands that one would use in a TeX editor. Clearly this forum isn't overflowing with mathematics or anything, but those tags might make it easier to input modal arguments and such, as well as having occasional benefits in the Science and Religion subforum. I'm not sure if it's feasible to implement, or even if anybody would use such tags, but I'm just putting the idea out there for consideration.

I looked into this. And it requires for me to turn off PHP Safe Mode in order to call the LaTeX code. Because of this, it's not possible to use the mod.
