Where do babies come from?

Post by assisigirl »

I have had a week of it, satanists turning the heat up, islamists talking Allah up, and atheists carving God up.

Answer me this please. Where do babies come from?

Surely to God if he is testing us and judging us and observing us then he must at some stage have thought us up. How does that work. How does your God make people like you up. Explain this to me and you will have an admirer for life.

Does God abstain from the manufacturing/design process so that he can concentrate on quality testing??? I'm honestly baffled!

Assigirl did you ever imagine what 10 dimensions are like.

How mundane is such an allah like creator god when you look at a world that supposedly has to have about 11 dimensions to make any mathematical sense as the string theorists say.

Btw it wasn't me with those dinosaur bones. It might have been a me from a different universe with even more dimensions. I can imagine my brother in mind to have such humor.

assisigirl wrote: Hi steps: All in or nothing makes sense to me too, ie if you are going to believe in a God then it must by definition be absolute. 'The right to believe in God', is unfortunately a right that we can ill-afford as humans especially when this belief splinters into factions and hostility. I apologise for this but my practical nature cannot allow you the luxury of a God. We are therefore in conflict, ie if your God came over my direction, I would not be friendly. I enjoyed your post, peace and love assisigirl

I know this cut. Not sure who or where it has been posted before.
Funny to watch but it makes us rationalist none the wiser.

From what he tells; He looked at various religion and picked the one that most clearly told him what to do in all the things he wanted guidance. For me that is the primary thing I disklike about all kinds of fundamentalism. While it is understandable that people want clear guidance and obvious when one simply takes a look at mass media, it is still critical thinking skills, understanding and properly judging situations that aren't black and white something me and most rationalist would value higher. The rest is just lazy following of rules which usually leads to black and white thinking and being imprisoned in the conservative time bubble.

This is I think what is wrong with present day Islam. I read something about 8th century islamic philosophy and those guys IMHO where much wiser than what goes for Islam today with all this hadith stuff and the importance of whether Mohammed spit left or right. Then again so were some gnostic early christian sects compared to the RCC beginning with Constantine.

Addendum to an old thread...

In the explanation of the parable of the wheat and the tares, Jesus told us

Matt 13:36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.

37 He answered, The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

37 the Son of Man sows the good seed
38 the field is the world and the good seed is the (elect) "sons of the kingdom"
and the tares are the sons of the evil one (non-elect)
39 the devil sows the tares

So, to those who care, Jesus says elect babies come from Him and non-elect babies come from the devil.

Peace, Ted
PCE Theology as I see it...

We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.

This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.
