Why did man create God ?

My life is not based on a book. It is based on Some One, Someone whom I want to live my life for, Someone whom I want to surrender my all to."

My friend said this, and I responded:

"What you say justifies the fact that often people see God as their "Ultimate Person",

"someone" to long for,

"someone" to live for and with,

"someone" who is their role model in life ethically, mentally, moraly, and intellectually,

"someone" to cry for when frightened or sad,

"someone" to pray for to make their wishes come true,

"someone" to be with when lonely,

"someone" to depend on in time of need,

"someone" to thank in time of happiness,

"someone" to the need of protection when in danger,

or even "someone" to blame when disaster takes place.

You see, the idea of God is very arbitrary, and not any two persons see God the same way. It's only a matter of choice and need."

So, creaters of God, is there anything else you would add ?

I sing while I water them. I am told I have a green thumb. But the truth is I just have so many if one dies I got more. Not many die and they just keep growing so I take cuttings and give them to friends.
According to the bible God created mankind for his/her own good pleasure.
When my kids were born I understood what that meant.
Any tears were out weighed by the joy and laughter I have had for the last 25 years with my son and 23 with my daughter.

Out of curiousity, do you talk to them? Your flowers i mean. Its said they can be encourage to grow better if positive vibes are introduced, such as music or small talk.

I used to read the Bible to my plants.
All the BS really makes them grow.
