Was Jesus a great teacher?

Questions for debate:
Was Jesus a great teacher? Are all of his teachings easy to defend? Is there anything that he could have made clearer? Did he make mistakes? Did he leave out anything important? How could he have improved as a teacher?
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Yes but the devil isn't waiting for the call. He is initiating the confusion.

His greatest sermon was only believed by some, and to this day, he is known to spread untruths.
Not to mention, he didn't live as he wanted them to live. He didn't lead by example.
He taught them to spread a lie, and live for the glory of God, whereas, Jesus lived to get killed for heresy. He was a madman who led madmen. A nice madman, perhaps, but as mad as David Koresh, for sure.
Wow..I suppose you are right about one thing. There is a time when people ought to "get it' and if they don't chiding is in order.

Ad hominem of subject. I protest.

He was annointed of the Holy Spirit to be rabbi of rabbis and more. He had the Word of God upon his lips. He prophesied true words. His parables were truly wise and brought forth an amazingly comprehensive message...

He was Lord to those who loved him. You do not love him. But why you are hostile I cannot fathom. What single thing did he say wrong, ever?
Hum. I have no idea what he said, or didn't say. However, the quote attributed to him about 'you must hate your parents if you want to me my disciple' is rather disturbing. Also, the parable that ends up "Those people who won't let me rule over them, bring them before me and slay them' has pretty bad overtones.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

Not the way Jesus did it. He mocked them. There is no teacher that would suggest mockery is good for a students moral.

Maybe that's why Peter denied Jesus 3 times? He hated him.

But I am also right about the other things, too.

To this day, people still don't know what Jesus taught. 30,000 denominations and counting.

They can't even tell us how to get into Heaven, Faith vs. Acts, which sins are unforgivable, what is Hell like, when are the End Times, etc.

Jesus didn't teach squat.

For example, you don't know jack about God, Christianity or anything else. If Jesus was such a good teacher, why don't you know more about these basic things?
Thinking about God's opinions and thinking about your own opinions uses an identical thought process. - Tomas Rees

Can you please provide evidence that an invisible imaginary entity is creating confusion among Christians? Can you show that this is a more plausible than the ambiguity of the Bible? If not, you have no argument.

What seems more reasonable and plausible;

A) There is an entity who is invisible who is running a muck behind Christians when they read their Bibles, and causing them to misinterpret the Bible?

B) The Bible was written ambiguously, thus allowing any position or translation to be supported by its texts?

Jesus taught the basics repetitiously. After about the tenth time if someone still doesn't get it you have to wonder why. Scolding may be in order, at least I am guessing that was the reason for this.....

Hebrews5: 12 And though by this time it would be right for you to be teachers, you still have need of someone to give you teaching about the first simple rules of God's revelation; you have become like babies who have need of milk, and not of solid food.

I can confirm that with scripture.

2nd Cor 4: 3 Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish;
4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

Again, I can only confirm it with scripture.....

Mark 4: 11 He said to them, "To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,
12 that 'seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.'"

So all those in conflicting demoninations who are trying to follow Jesus and the Bible are really unbelievers, and that is why their minds are veiled? Come on, this verse does not answer why there is confusion and contradiction between Christians.

This is an interesting topic. I would say that comparing God to an unjust steward is not a good teaching method if you are trying to get people to seek the kingdom of heaven. The fact that the Prince of Peace said he came not to bring peace, but to bring the sword and divide families is rather confusing. Jesus treating a non-Jewish woman like a dog sends a bad message.

The second sentence contradicts your third. If you don't believe anything the scripture says then you will not believe any specific verse either. Now you are immediately in No Man's Land since we as believers primarily use the Bible to depict what Jesus said in history.
'you must hate your parents if you want to me my disciple'
This verse is even HARDER to stomach than you portray, and most CHRISTIANS ignore it for that reason...the verse actually goes:

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

So then, what does the HATE metaphor mean since one of the ten commandments say to HONOR your father and mother?

Was Jesus actually contradicting this command which his own patriarch gave, Moses in original form?

Of course the answer is no, and you have to go to language uses in the day. HARD sayings are because even if understood correctly, they are STILL hard to do and be harmonious with. IF you said no, Jesus WAS in fact contradicting one of the ten commands Moses gave then YES this verse is TOO HARD to do, understand, be harmonious with or anything else positive...all that's left is to reject Jesus' saying altogether.

What the HATE meant was the possibility that these ones you love will come before you and your God, and in this case, between you and your God's annointed.

When he was rebuked at a young age for 'losing himself' in the Temple, he stated his priority. HIS FATHER came before all. "Did you not know I would be doing my Father's business?"

The hard word, HATE is because of this very possibility, that your number one priority will be tested, and then you must HATE one that you love for the other that you love more.

Jewish perspective, hard words for an existence which is life and death.
