I like the way the opening post of a thread is shown at the top of every page, in a different color for emphasis. Hadn't seen that before, and it seems wise.

What's the trick to embed a image or video?

To embed a video, it has to be a youtube video. Although there does exist BB code for embedding all sorts of media, it does not work here.

When embedding youtube videos, be sure not to use the link under the share section of the video. For example, this link cannot be embedded:




If the video starts with https:// ,remove the s because it also won't work.


Make sure the youtube url always starts like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=


If your video is in a playlist and you don't want it to be, click the share button and uncheck the box that says "Share with playlist starting from"

Then copy the link which will start with:

http://youtu.be/


Replace that with the prefix:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
