We are made in the image of God

That is, what would you say that means generally, and what kind of things does it include?

Likewise, what does it not mean, or not include?

Why, do you think, did God choose to do so, and what did He have in mind for us?

Genesis 1:27:

So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.

imPCEo:
GOD made us in HIS image so we would be able to have a full, loving and holy communion with HIM in a heavenly marriage, the purpose of our creation since it is the culmination of human existence reported in the Bible.

The word in English that sums this all up for me is personhood, being a person, contrary to those surface thinkers who only see our physical form. This would include but may not be restricted to being able to have an emotional bond with others, that is to be able to be both self and other aware, to think intellectually with plans, hopes and dreams and to make free will decisions / choices between options.

If GOD made you to be HIS bride whether you accepted HIS proposal or not, you are in HIS image. What we see here on earth is that image corrupted by evil but which can be restored and shined up by redemption and sanctification for the elect. The enslaving addiction to evil which clouds people's minds and corrupts their desires makes us totally un-marriageable in HIS sight, that is, it wrecks us as a marriage partner but we stay persons...
PCE Theology as I see it...

We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.

This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

Brick-heads, is that a modern equivalent of Raca or "Thou Fool?" I wonder what religious movement you represent here on this forum.

So you think that appreciating the same concepts means you can read someone's thoughts? That their thoughts become your thoughts? I appreciate the concept of physics, so why didn't I beat Einstein to splitting the atom? apparently I have his thoughts.

Just because we can appreciate certain concepts doesn't mean we become omnscient and therefore have the mind of God. His thoughts are his own. Not ours.

God didn't make us "to be his Bride." He made us to live on the earth as humans, with physical bodies, forever.

"This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, the true God, the Former of the earth...the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who FORMED IT TO BE INHABITED." (Isaiah 45:18)

"As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong, but THE EARTH HE HAS GIVEN TO THE SONS OF MEN." (Psalm 115:16)

"Evildoers will be cut off, but those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will POSSESS THE EARTH. The meek ones will POSSESS THE EARTH, and find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." (Psalm 37:9,11)

"The righteous will possess the earth, and THEY WILL RESIDE FOREVER UPON IT." (Psalm 37:29)

If Adam hadn't rebelled, he would still be alive as a physical human being, and Jesus never would have had to come to the earth to save us. I have asked this before but no one has answered it: If Adam was still here on the earth, at what point would he be changed to go to heaven?

Can you answer that question? And do you object to what Isaiah and the Psalms say?
