I heard that it was a misdemeanor charge of assault and she might never go to Court.

I see no justification to view this as any part of liberalism.

That man has far more serious charges - but some might say that he already got his punishment.

It is an unusual case.

No, she should be charged. The fact that he was stealing her purse does not mean he was still a threat to her. He was running AWAY from her. By chasing him down with the vehicle and hitting him, she committed a crime.

I know this is confusing to some people, but it's pretty simple law. It's no different than shooting someone in the back when they are running away from you. The crime was over, there is no just cause for self defense at that point. (If she had run and tackled him that would be different, but obviously being preggars that wasn't going to happen)

The purse snatcher is getting charged with several crimes. His are probably more serious than hers in the big scheme of things, because the dollar amount of damage to her vehicle when he broke in probably triggered a felony charge.

Although I think liberalism has run amok the charges to this woman have nothing to do with political views. She could have killed a man for the crime of breaking into her car and stealing. She acted as judge and jury and should be punished, as should the thief. Maybe this guy will wake up, grow up, and get a job.
