A quote from C.S. Lewis:
"Whatever men may say no one really thinks that the Christian doctrine of the REsurrection is exactly on the same level with some pious tittle-tattle about how Mother Egaree Louise miraculously found her second best thimble by the aid of St. Anthony...Even those who thnk all stories of miracles absurd think some very much more absurd than others."
Do you agree with this claim?

I of course believe neither you or the imam. Why do you declare Jesus perfect, as if it is supposed to go unchallenged?

You don't remember the topic, Jesus and the Ten Commandments?
Where we showed that Jesus spit on 6 of the 10?
Jesus was not perfect at all, or remotely.

Post #16This doesn't change the fact that God's "justice" demands an innocent man suffer for the sins of a guilty man. How is that irrelevant? The entire second half of my post is in regards to the injustice of having Jesus pay the price for sin, yet you just dismiss it ads irrelevant.JehovahsWitness wrote:Only Jesus was a perfect human so only Jesus could pay one perfect human life; rendering the rest of your post totally irrelevantJustin108 wrote:Ok now all humans die.JehovahsWitness wrote:What exactly was the price to be paid? A permanent death or a temporary death? A physical death or a spiritual death?
Death ie the sacrifice of one human life. There was not clause imposing permanence. The sacrifice was of one perfect human life.
Is the suffering of an innocent man for the sins of guilty men justice? Yes or no? Why could God not restore us to perfection without the need for Jesus' sacrifice? You cannot claim he is unable because that would imply he is not omnipotent, and you cannot claim it would be unjust because the "solution" (i.e having an innocent man die) is not justice either.
So does God not restore us to perfection because...
a) He cannot?
b) He chooses not to?
c) Other

I can try.
Since the rest of your questions all assume Anslem's Ransom theory of atonement, I need go no further, as I do not hold to that theory.
Can you answer my questions about this theology?
I can try.
I don't follow Anselm in the ransom theory. As for the question, "Why didn't God do this sooner", I think it is an interesting question. But simply because a question is interesting and cannot be answered, doesn't mean that the question suddenly becomes an argument.1. If paying a ransom was the only way to obtain salvation why wasn't this ransom paid for Adam and Eve right off the bat?

If you're so busy, why do you open several new OP's daily instead of addressing all the existing ones?liamconnor wrote: [Replying to post 3 by rikuoamero]

Pro tip: If you lose track of which posts you're involved with, click on "profile". It will list all topics you're involved with that have been responded to recently.

You opened this thread on Monday July 10th. Four hours after that, DI responds and has a list of questions.liamconnor wrote: [Replying to post 3 by rikuoamero]

My response is number 3. On a WEDNESDAY, July 12th. Whose fault is it when one creates a new thread, and when I initially responded, looked like he had yet again abandoned a thread he had created? In fact, you only just now responded, EIGHT DAYS after creating this thread.
Are you trying to blame us for your lack of responses? Or is this an admittance that there is very little point in other people responding to you, because more likely than not, you won't respond back (or at least not in a timely fashion)?
