Tell me, what is "The Good News?"

Yes its is "here and now" if you mean that God's kingdom is presently operating, right here (as in exercising its powers on believers) and now (as in at the present timeÃ then I can agree. We believe it has been in the "here and now"since 1914.

Yes, even though Jesus has been ruling since 1914 he has not yet destroyed all governments and replaced them with his own heavenly one. That as you said is indeed an event yet in the future. We refer to that as "the second coming" by that we mean Jesus returning in full kingdom power to jugde all those living.

After that the meek will inherit the earth - Good news indeed!

I did not say, or intend to "mean the HOPE of the kingdom", but its present reality as it has been for over 2000 years.

Not merely "since 1914", but since Jesus its king arrived and first proclaimed that good news.

So true , of course the Kingdom itself wasn't going to take control of the planet for many thousands of years but when Jesus walked the earth in the first century, as the head or King of that coming the kingdom was right there as represented by Jesus.

The kingdom was right there as represented by both Jesus and his followers, and has been ever since.

Jesus proclaimed that the Kingdom would, sometime in the future, cause Jehovah's will to be done on the Earth, just like it is being done in heaven. (Matthew 6:9,10) The earth has not seen the "iron rod" (Psalm 1:9; Revelation 19:15) of God's judgment and coming Kingdom effects, such as no more war, harmony between men and animals (and other people), no more sickness or death. That is how we know that God's Kingdom hasn't fully manifested itself, but will do so in the (near) future.

His Kingdom is an actual government, described throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. (Isaiah 9:6,7; Daniel 2:44) It is truly "good news" for us to know that under this Kingdom by Christ humans will be in the position of inheriting what Adam lost and enjoy Paradise on Earth forever.
