What If There Had Been No Resurrection?

Christians,

How would your life change if you were to learn that the resurrection of Jesus never occurred?

I am not saying that the person that survive the death of the human body do not have a spirit body = live on with a spirit body in a spirit world.
You may not be saying that but I am. I dont believe any part of a human survives his death to "live on"
But you believe God separated him from his human body and gave him a spirit body.

I never said the word "separated" that implies at least 2 parts to a person. A person is a body that is alive. I don’t believe a person that dies "separates" into two parts.

No I'm not saying that at all and I do not believe "that Jesus lived on after his human body died"

According to the Bible the spirit world is for God and the angels; humans were created to live forever on this material , physical planet (earth).

Waterfall wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:22 pm... why do you think reincarnation is impossible for God?
I didn't say reincarnation is impossible for God, I said I don't believe in reincarnation; my reason is that reincarnation is not a bible teaching and I have no reason to believe such a notion is in God's purpose for humans. Or that it ever happens.

Also I suspect reincarnation is based on the existence of an "immoral soul" and that is not a biblical teaching
Waterfall wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:22 pm... Was Jesus against reincarnation?
The bible presents Jesus as being firmly against false teachings and for the writings iof the Hebrew Prophets; since reincarnation is in opposition to scripture yes, I believe he would have been against this teaching.

Waterfall wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:22 pm... Did he know everything?
No.

Waterfall wrote: Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:22 pm... Can there be justice without reincarnation?

Yes.

I enjoyed that talk a lot more than I expected. Thought provoking. Way off topic, mind. And like a lot of philosophy, not considering whether science can tell us more about our human abilities than we may suppose. But yes, it is unsound to suppose a miracle or a god where we don't yet understand. When we do, it becomes nature and science. We move from animal instinct to human reason and maybe the 'divine' of the most advanced thought we can do. We know and we don't; we know how the world works well enough to see that a god is not needed, but there is still a lot left to know. Everything, food, soil, fertilizer, is all the same, star - stuff. The necessary elements made by supernovae, or we wouldn't be here. Is that not a miracle? No...it is nature, but truly amazing.

I have said what I wanted to say and so have you? The reader can think for him-/herself. Shall we put children into the world? Do we have a choice? Can we live with the consequences? When do we become grownups and responsible...

The question whether or not to have children is a personal one; the bible does not mandate marriage or children for Christians.

I do not believe in the story about Adam and Eve, but what does the Bible say to people...

Maybe you have forgotten my question? Why did they need (I have changed the word "have" to "need". I am not sure which is correct? Maybe both?) to say this...
Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One
Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
Because...

Some translations remove the Divine name [the personal name of God] from their translations.
