Would you like to buy things with your tokens?

The Store Mod author says the mod is 95% complete.

Once it is complete, would you want want me to install the store mod so that you can buy things with your tokens? If so, what type of stuff would you like to see in the store? (Be reminded that everything is virtual, so you won't be getting anything real. )

I would love to buy things in a store. That's why I was hoarding my points. I suppose I could always donate some points, but.. er.. where's the fun in that? :D

What exactly could we look forward to seeing in the store? Forum specific bonuses like bigger avatar sizes and more room for signatures.. or things like programs and desktops?

No, not forum specific stuff. But just virtual items. For example, we can have a grocery store or an electronics store or a school supply store. Then you'd trade some tokens for a loaf of bread or an MP3 player or a calculator. These items would then be in your collection of items list. Or if someone can think of a store that is less "materialistic", I'm open to that too.

Would it be possible for the store mod to allow you to buy forum specific things? It would certainly be a nice reward for forum veterans to buy... say, custom titles or extra avatar sizes. You could give site supporters massive token prizes too, as an incentive.

If that can't be done, I'm thinking about things along the lines of enhancements for ones prestige. Incentives is the word here. Perhaps being able to buy the cross of the legion of honour? Jewelry, medals, rewards. Clothes? I really don't know - I can't see any advantage to have a virtual grocery store. :confused2:

Good idea. I've asked the question to the Store mod support to request this feature.

Good ideas. So, anyone have any ideas for jewelry, medals, rewards? I was also thinking of perhaps of some non-profit causes (Feed an orphan for a year - 500 tokens).

How about a library of images we could post with our signatures. An example that comes to mind, my son was in the hospital and when he recovered I did a great deal of reading about Angels. At that time I would have been very interested in purchasing an image of an Angel to post and it would have served as a reminder of my blessings.

To further this train of thought
classic fine art imagery depicting our Lord, images of parental and spousal love. religious holiday scenes. Images from other faiths, and let us not forget the fish with Darwin in it.
