I joined several groups. Where are they?

I know it is very embarrassing. Maybe they get in view
only if one wait 24 hours? The most embarrassing where
that when I googled for them they did not exist either.

so they are hidden somewhere on the forum? Okay II try to log out
and see if that helps :) Now I can see that I joined two groups
but they are not listed anywhere and I find not button to push
and if I push the name it only show who had joined but no link
to the group.

What am I doing wrong?

I see you've joined Buddhist and Scientist. Groups only show up when you are logged in. Are you having trouble joining any other groups?

I am logged in so where am I to look for them then?
do they have other names maybe? I see no Buddhist
anywhere apart from that I am member and a list of
members but not a single post thread or anything.

Same with Scientist. Lot of members no post whatsoever.

I must be doing something basic wrong or else it would show somewhere?

What else can I test to join to get some clue on what goes on?

There are no discussions subforums associated with those groups. The Buddhist group did once have a discussion group, but since there was not any activity in it, I closed it. The Scientist group can have its own discussion subforum, but someone will need to ante up 5000 tokens for it to be created.

Sorry I did not know. So why have all of us joined groups
that fail to exist? Kind of odd to me. Is it possible for you
to add this message above somehow in some link on all
groups that fail to get approved of so that one does not join
groups that does not exist?

The groups show others at a glance what catagory you fall into, I did not know you were a Buddist, now I do :)

The primary purpose of the usergroups is not to join a subforum, but to let others know a little bit more about you.

That can be a good purpose yes.
But take this group Former christians
named The Outer Darkness I don't find where to join them.

oops one should not look for the The Outer Darkness
one should look for the name Former christians.

Damn the Devil in the Details indeed. How would one know :)

Okay the first group that actually exist that I can join
because I where forbidden to post there so it is not only
for to get to know. One have to join for to be able to post.

So now I can both join Former Christian and Former Atheist.
Thanks for helping me out I spent hours on this and had no clue.
I am not that bright obviously :)

My bad , I did not understand that they had that purpose.
I am rather anti-buddhist, I joined to ask those that see themselves
as Buddhist and that did not work out so I have tried to only leave
the former Christian because where I live all parents made us Christian
by baptism at the Hospital out of tradition. Very few opted out.

So I where Christian until me ten years old and then atheist
until me 40 years old and now I look for something to identify with.

I maybe will settle for Believer of the future faith/religion.

I find it reasonable that our current war between three competing
monotheistic faith can not work out well so hopefully a new faith
will emerge that out compete all three. May take another 1000 years though.

So I am a believer in that unknown to us religion. Maybe a very naive take ....

One shouldn't hafta opt out of anything they didn't willingly sign up for in the first place.

But I hear ya.

It's easier to fluff up the numbers when one is unaware they're counted as being it, whether they are an it or they ain't.
