I've just seen both a theist and an atheist make outrageously offensive comments about the holocaust, and this comes in the wake of a couple of people openly stating that they think there is nothing wrong with slavery.
I strongly urge whoever's in charge to consider weeding these people out from the board.
This is an extraordinarily stimulating forum, and blatant antisemitism and other extraordinarily offensive behavior brings the quality of the entire forum down.
What incentive do I have, as a debater, to construct a reasoned and interesting argument, if I'm going to get responses from people who think the Jews "had it coming" in WWII and that owning slaves is no different from owning a pair of shoes.
Again, this is a completely non-partisan complaint that I direct at a few bad apples in the theists and atheists camps alike.
These people gotta go. Just my two cents.
I have a serious problem with this board

Intersting how you thread this after you've realized God exists through this thread.

Too bad this is just your own personal opinion and don't belong in the Christianity and Apologetics section.
Please review the Forum Rules.
Also, mind you that most of the ideas come from me to make it this stimulating as evident by your own thread quoting me as the OP in the other thread of Nazis here

Personal attacks to a member is not allowed in this forum. Let alone you just created a thread including nothing but flamebait just because two other members who's both an Atheist, and a Theist do not agree with your ideas or statements.
Again, please review the Forum Rules.

Post #4We don't have to agree with what people post and at the same time do we want to adopt a Nazi tenet of silencing those that we disagree with?no evidence no belief wrote: I've just seen both a theist and an atheist make outrageously offensive comments about the holocaust, and this comes in the wake of a couple of people openly stating that they think there is nothing wrong with slavery.

Post #7It can be perfectly acceptable to say such things yet not acceptable to say similar things about the very same belief system that would spawn such offensive comments.no evidence no belief wrote: I've just seen both a theist and an atheist make outrageously offensive comments about the holocaust, and this comes in the wake of a couple of people openly stating that they think there is nothing wrong with slavery.
Personally, I think we should be able to say almost anything on a public forum.
Moderating should be about making sure spammers, pornography and profanity are kept in check and those propagating it are banned. The "Report" button should be used only for the purpose of making moderators aware of those issues.
We are all adults here and should be able to understand the words written on a public forum mean absolutely nothing, they will not hurt anyone in any way.
We learned that as children.

Post #8While I don't disagree with your point I take issue with the sticks and stones maxim. I would say the hypothesis that "words will never hurt you" is untrue and should be modified to include the word "physically".A Troubled Man wrote:It can be perfectly acceptable to say such things yet not acceptable to say similar things about the very same belief system that would spawn such offensive comments.no evidence no belief wrote: I've just seen both a theist and an atheist make outrageously offensive comments about the holocaust, and this comes in the wake of a couple of people openly stating that they think there is nothing wrong with slavery.

I'm sure all of us can think of people who have been psychologically wounded by words. A few so much so that they've even taken their own lives.

Post #9From the result of posting on a public forum? I seriously doubt that.AdHoc wrote:

Post #10True but like I said I don't disagree with your point I just don't think the sticks and stones maxim is universally true.A Troubled Man wrote:From the result of posting on a public forum? I seriously doubt that.AdHoc wrote:

And I imagine if the shackles were completely removed that there are some people on this forum that could use their razor wit and a bit of intuition to cut a person down enough to hurt them... Though they'd likely never admit it.
