A question/problem with private messaging.

I made enough posts to send a private message; I composed the message, and I can see it in my 'outbox.' However, I don't see it in the 'sent' box... which leads me to believe it hasn't yet been sent. Am I missing something?

I'd really like to send this message.

If it's in the outbox, it hasn't been read by the recipient. If it's in the sentbox, it's been read by the recipient.
