When I try to log on to this forum it is very slow to connect, sometimes 30secs to 1 minute. Occasionally my computer freezes completely. I don't have this problem with the other forums on which I post. I use Windows explorer as my browser. I would post here more often but due to this irritation it puts me off doing so.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Sometimes the site is slow (sometimes it's even down, like yesterday). My guess is that it's being bombarded by requests. You can tell by looking at the bottom of the page.
Mine says right now:
Page generation time: 2.711s - SQL queries: 77 - GZIP enabled
That means the site is running a little slow, but it's still OK. But, if it says something like 30 seconds, then the site is slow. If it takes 30 seconds to load, but the time says 3 seconds, then it's some other problem other than the forum.
One of these days, I'll move the forum to a faster computer. But, unfortunately, I've got my own bills that I need to pay.
