This concerns the subject of God’s wrath against the nations, the earth, and the world. This is a prophecy concerning the tribulation period. In the following verse, the Watchtower has replaced “LORD” with “Jehovah.” So let’s see if I can make them eat their own words, proving Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the Old Testament.

K.J.B. Isaiah 34:6-7-8, “The sword of the LORD (Jehovah) is filled with blood, it is made fat (overflowing) with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD (Jehovah) has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea (Edom). And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion (Israel.)”

This is in the days of Jehovah’s vengeance. But wait, Isaiah tells us, Jehovah is Jesus. Isaiah sees the Messiah approaching Jerusalem after having avenged his people on his and Israel’s enemies,

Isaiah 63:1, “Who is this that comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? This that is glorious in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

Revelation 19:11-15: All you Jehovah’s Witnesses, read carefully if you are interested in the truth.
“I (John) saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he will judge and make war. ---- and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. --- his name is called the Word of God. (That would be the Son of God.)

And the armies of heaven followed him --- and out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: ----- and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written King of Kings, and LORD of LORDs.”

The cause for Jesus' names, offices, and titles in both the Old and New Testaments shows the effect of these titles. His many offices are not randomly given to Him, but each serves a purpose in the great master plan of the counsel of God. The will of the Father is being fulfilled in His Son; this is with the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit. The results will conclude in a predetermined result in both the spiritual and physical world.

Throughout the Scriptures, Jesus' many names and titles signify his attributes, his will, purpose, honor, glory, words, grace, wisdom, power, goodness, worship, service, and God Himself.

Any of his names or titles can point to a particular duty, charge, or trust conferred upon him by the Father; his employment undertaken by commission of his Father and the Holy Spirit, and his own will to fulfill each. For example, a man can be a father, husband, plumber, handyman, fisherman, and bowler. At work, he is known as the boss. He may also be the accountant for his business, same person, different positions and titles, and so it is with Jesus Christ, who has some 200 or 300 names and titles.

His titles and characteristics may point to a duty, charge, or trust of a sacred nature, conferred by the Father himself. He is our Creator, Rock of Salvation, our Christ, the Lord Jesus, Messiah, Mediator, LORD (Jehovah), High Priest, and Mediator, in both the Old and New Testaments.

Jesus asked Peter, "Who do men say that I the Son of man am?" Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." So, Peter acknowledges Jesus as the Son of God and the Christ, two different positions and functions.

Jesus' titles and offices give insight into His attributes, His will or purpose, honor and glory, His word, grace, wisdom, power, goodness, and worship. Every noun has a particular duty, charge, or trust ascribed to it. His employment in these offices is underwritten by authority from the Father. His duties are of a sacred nature, He being most loyal and competent in the fulfilling of the work attached to each office. Jesus, therefore, can be called Lord, God, and the Almighty.

Eph.2:21-23, Jesus is said to be "Far above all principality, and power and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him that fills all in all." The Father has given His Son to be Head, Chief, and Lord over the church. The church has no ruler but Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the head of the body, which is the church: the church receives from him the following attributes: Light, life, wisdom, and understanding. Each different, each necessary
