Please pray for all those who are called by the name of Christ today.
Pray for you and your family.
Pray for God's will in our lives.

Pray.

I find it disappointing that the president of the world's first constitutionally secular nation still finds the need to grant executive approval to a day of prayer.

What is good is that nowhere in the proclamation is Christ or Christians mentioned. This is not a national day of prayer for just the American Christians. It is merely a national day of prayer.

Notice too, that the President is not asking for God's will. He directs the citizens to pray for the people in the armed forces and other public servants who may put themselves in danger and for those facing natural disasters (ironically called Acts of God). He also says to pray for freedom, justice, peace and human dignity. Who can argue against these things?
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.
First Epistle to the Church of the Thessalonians
The truth will make you free.
Gospel of John
