Detroit bankruptcy

Post by bluethread »

I just heard that some 80% of the debts are related to the government employee benefits. It seems like poetic justice. Maybe they could do what they did with the auto companies and hand the government over to the public employees union. Oh, that is how they got here in the first place.

What do you think Detroit should do?

1. Start over
2. Regain a creditworthy reputation
3. Make new promises
4. Borrow more than they can repay
5. Keep it going as long as possible
6. Declare bankruptcy
