Will the DONALD Savage Politics as we know it?

Donald Trump is turning the Republican race upside down. Obviously he’s a populist like Ross Perot was. Perot came close (39% popularity until he quit in the middle of his 1992campaign) – still, he pretty much savaged the Republican Party’s efforts and Bill Clinton became president.

Like Perot, Trump is long on rhetoric but offers few details. He’s got Jane and Joe Public’s ear but can he accomplish what he says with a hide-bound congress and a split court? Will he destroy the Republican Party or just put an end to its hypocrisy?

Given that politics 'as we know it' in the US merely reinforces an oligarchy that has increasing indifference to what the people actually want, I fail to see why 'savaging it' should necessarily be a bad thing.
The response to the refugee crisis has been troubling, exposing... just how impoverished our moral and political discourse actually is. For the difficult tasks of patient deliberation and discriminating political wisdom, a cult of sentimental humanitarianism--Neoliberalism's good cop to its bad cop of foreign military interventionism--substitutes the self-congratulatory ease of kneejerk emotional judgments, assuming that the 'right'...is immediately apparent from some instinctive apprehension of the 'good'. -AR

People are not the only ones dying at the wall

Animals can no loner go from one place to another as they have always done because a wall blocks the way.

Even low flying birds are getting an abrupt surprise, a wall the was never there before!!

But the ants, they will go between the spaces doing what they do best.

We need to rethink this wall; don’t you agree & is not, why not?

Just asking (:-

~~~~~~~~Trump’s Republican Party~~~~~~~~
Let this be a warning in spades, Trump is dragging your party through the pig farm slug pit. Please hold your nose, don’t breathe or open your eyes because you be in the disgusted land of ooze.
If you don’t save your party from this pathological liar you will not only lose what integrity you have but every seat in Congress.
Trump is single handily destroying the republican Party
in my view of things :tongue:
Viewed from this side of the pond, if Trump was a fictional character in a drama he would be considered not credible. His behaviour gets worse and worse, he is a danger to this world, imo.
Hang onto your nose: The "Barr" report has issued Trump & Associates a clean bill of health. Trump is now certified to teach Sunday School.
Interesting.
Of course, I think the Democratic Party will eventually destroy itself. I think many minorities will get woke that the Democratic Party is not their friend, rather uses them for their vote. The Democratic Party is now so far left their platform literally includes sanctioning infanticide and they no longer even attempt to hide their socialistic agenda.
Good of true Republicans like General Mattis to speak out on Trump's tyranny and the terrible direction he is taking the country:
Trump and his disciples continually harp on the idea that Antifa represents the greatest "threat" to the USA. As always, they cannot begin to present even the slightest evidence of this claim.
By contrast, all the evidence points to right wing extremists as the biggest threats to society.
Man with links to 'boogaloo' movement indicted in Texas
A 36-year-old man with apparent ties to a loose movement of right-wing extremists has been indicted in Texas on charges including the attempted capital murder of a peace officer.
Aaron Swenson was arrested in April by police in Texarkana, Texas, and accused of threatening to ambush and kill a police officer in a Facebook Live video. He was wearing a ballistic vest when officers took him into custody, and they found two loaded pistols and a shotgun in his car, according to a police report.
Swenson's Facebook page included references to the “boogaloo” movement, a network of gun enthusiasts who often express support for overthrowing the U.S. government, according to police and the Tech Transparency Project, which tracks technology companies. Hours before his arrest, police said, Swenson wrote a post under an alias saying “I feel like hunting the hunters.”
A grand jury indictment Thursday also charged Swenson with attempted murder, and making a terroristic threat against a peace officer or judge. He could face up to life in prison if convicted of attempted murder of a peace officer — the most serious charge. Court records do not indicate whether he has entered a plea.
As I have done about a dozen times on this forum: I challenge those of you who continually says "Blame Antifa" to present evidence (not unprovem allegations) that your claims are valid. And note that I have REPEATEDLY proven my viewpoint that it is the right wing, not Antifa that is the problem.
