Hello my wonderful friends!
Tired from His journey, Jesus, asks the woman at the well for a drink of water. Perhaps I am reading to much in to this, but I am wondering, if God created man out of dust, surely a glass of water wouldn't be too difficult to get. Yet, the adulteress was asked, "will you give me a drink?" I just can't help to think that there is more meaning, than thirst. Jesus, then compares His living water to the water in the well. Could it mean that our spiritual thirsty souls, can be quenched by asking the same question to Jesus, "will you give me a drink?"
"Will you give me a drink?"

Hello Peds nurse,
Yes, I believe Jesus was using water as an object lesson to teach about spiritual refreshment.

I think it was a good way to start a conversation with the woman and it would naturally lead onto a discussion that Jesus wanted to have with this woman..
