That being said,
I think one can be a Christian and approve or disapprove of smoking. But that is not the original topic.So do you think you can be a Christian and [strike]be in a religion that doesn't [/strike] (not) approve of smoking?
The WTS is doing more than disapproving of smoking. They are saying that a person is prohibited from becoming a Christian (according to their belief on what makes a person a Christian, that is) for smoking.
They are barring men and women from being Christian (according to their personal definition of Christian) if those men and women also smoke.
