Christmas-less Christians?

Can one still be considered Christian if one chooses not to celebrate Christmas?

Opinions welcome.

I mean in your opinion is the celebration of Christ's birthday on the 25th of December by observing various customs such as holding a special church service in honor of his birthday, to the exchanging of presents on that particular day, to the decorating of homes in certain ways and special meals in honor of Jesus appropriate for someone that claims to be a follower of Christ.

JW
As Tam indicates, it's not Christmas observance that makes a Christian. So it's not right for someone to judge or condemn another for not keeping Christmas. But the converse is also true. One should certainly not judge others "inappropriate for a Christian" for keeping the holiday.

The notion of Christian freedom seems to apply on this matter.
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

I agree. That said seeing something as inappropriate for a Christian is part of my religion, I trust I wont be judged for this.

Of course. I hate secular Christmas and so my devotions for the religious Christmas are muted... Celebrating your deviations is personal.
PCE Theology as I see it...

We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.

This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

I agree, I know years ago people were quite shocked that we Jehovahs Witnesses dont celebrate Christmas, (some I knew would even question if we were indeed Christian since we didn't celebrate the birth of Cnrist) but as the celebration has become increasingly secular and tolerance of others beliefs has increased, I found that attitude rare.

Now nobody I know even raises an eyebrow, although I suspect our children have a harder time of things at school.

Yes, inappropriate for you, and JWs, but are you sure you're not judging the servant of another? If you don't want to be judged, shouldn't you refrain from judging other, (non-JW) Christians on this matter?

Again it seems to fall under the doctrine of Christian freedom whether one celebrates Christmas or not.

Are you implying something in my behaviour is inappropriate? Isn't that rather judgemental? I am the servant if another, are you trying to say something about my service to Him?
