John 10:18

No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.
So I had a revelation today when this verse was explained to me.

I understood carrying my own cross and following Jesus but I never ever did it willingly.

How much of my life has been an unwilling sacrifice?

How much of what I do whether work or exercise or house duties or responsibilities I do unwillingly?

Basically 100%.

I'm honestly a bit unsettled from this revelation.
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

I feel the same way a lot of the time. I do things because that is what I'm supposed to do and I'd rather be doing something else. Don't really have any insight into it.
