True struggles?

Post by Tart »

Another poster quoted

"Unless one has ceased to sin, then they aren't "faithful". Not to God and His ways, anyway."

Maybe they are right? Or illy informed?

It seems like our Church, the preachers teach us to be sinless, yet our brothers along me confess to imperfection, and then the preacher began to talk of "knowing the good he did not do", a sinner himself. Perhaps a reflection of myself... (in my church)... I wish i could go back and have fellowship with those sinners...

But I believed in perfection, i was ill informed. I was set on the convictions of me being un perfect.

Then everything changed... The church became divided, some people began to take an image of perfection, though i never knew them and they intimidated me... And some took the image of the fallen, and I didnt like them either... So i left...

I was then taken to unbelieving sinners, and I got along with them...

And now? The world is still broken, and people say things like quoted above.

To completely cease from sinning? That's impossible. At least I know of noone that has ceased from sinning, that is, anyone that's still alive.

To try to cease from sinning? That's possible.

There is a difference between practising sin, embracing a lifestyle and behaviours God condemns and sinning, falling short of perfection. The things listed in 1 Corinthians 6 :9-11 are thjngs that can and should be avoided

Just thinking about it... In the quote mentioned above, saying no one is considered faithful unless they have stopped sinning..

But isnt it Faith that comes before repentance? Not after?

Is faith a fruit of repentance or repentance a fruit of faith?

By Faith sinners are saved...

Not all sin incurs the same punishment. A passing immoral thought is different from the use of pornographic material. Christians are expected to do their best to avoid the things God condemns and if they do, then thanks to Christ, like Daniel they can be viewed as "precious" by God. Why is that not enough for you?

Ya, a lot of people empathizes on porn... And i use to, yet i know not many who dont fall to it, or to other sexual impurities... In fact, i know no one who isnt a sinner... Why is porn put on a pedestal? In fact, there was a time when someone told me "you can NEVER watch porn again", and that didnt happen... And then voices say "you ALREADY fell"... So why would there be a specific date of yesterday and not tomorrow, anyways? Is anyone better off by the day they repent?

And more so, why by law anyways? Why not by faith? Is any sinner better off then another?

I am starting to count it as false teachings now... But maybe i shouldnt?

In fact, this make me question you yourself... Who are you to make such a claim? Do your sins bare witness against you?

I don't make any claims but the bible does.

Do you not believe Christ died so we can be reconciled to God? That God loves and chrishes those that Do their best to serve him?

Bible made no such claim and never mentioned pornography...

In fact, im question what it means to make up some kind of man made morality, the Bible said...

"18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."

I do though, absolutely believe we should be faithful and believe in the forgiveness of sins, and I believe the limited abilities in man are not their direct sins...
