Nancy Pelosi's conduct.

Post by Elijah John »

Nancy Pelosi tore up her copy of the President's State of the Union address in front of a joint session of Congress. Keep in mind, we're talking about Pelosi here, not Trump.

For debate, is this behavior by the Speaker of the House appropriate for such an occasion? Or has she disgraced herself and her office. Should Nancy Pelosi be censured or otherwise sanctioned? If not, why not?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Her behavior was perfectly appropriate. Trump's speech was filled with lies. His entire presentation was not a state of the union address, but rather a really cheap shot at trying to divide the union even further. And that he most certainly did.

Nancy Pelosi was doing the American people a favor by tearing up his speech on camera putting Trump "Reality Show" on full display.

She did exactly the right thing.

Trump wanted a "Reality Show" so Nancy gave him his wish.

He owes her Big Time!

Even Jesus expressed some annoyance with hypocrites and money changers. Ms. Pelosi showed admirable restraint in that she didn't beat him out of the capital with her purse. Perhaps she was merely having pity for his bone spurs?

Yes, if we were discussing Trump we'd need to address his misuse of the National Prayer Breakfast:
  • Trump's prayer breakfast jibes jolt many faith leaders

NEW YORK -- The National Prayer Breakfast - a Washington tradition since 1953 - is by custom a respite from partisan bickering. President Donald Trump shattered that tradition Thursday with aggressive remarks that buoyed his allies but dismayed a wide spectrum of faith leaders.

“A bipartisan prayer breakfast is the last place one would expect to find political attacks on opponents, said the Rev. Tom Lambrecht, general manager of the conservative United Methodist magazine Good News. “Our country would benefit from a return to the kind of civility and grace reflected in Jesus’ words.

It was a statement IMO.
All politicians and reality TV stars acting in public office do the same or worse. No big deal

By the way, which is more offensive to you, Ms. Pelosi tearing up a copy of the "State of the Union" or Mr. Trump dry-humping the flag?
